The Millen Farm Board is excited to announce that itโ€™s handed over the lease of 2204 Mt Samson rd, to Mini Farm Project in conjunction with the Samford Community Garden (Green Thumb Farm). Millen Farmโ€™s mission for the site was to create a place to Grow, Learn and Feast, which has now been completed. We have left the site in very capable hands and we hope that you will support Mini Farm and the community garden in the same way, you have supported us.

Millen Farm will continue to exist and will explore new ideas and challenges. Our ongoing aim is maintain the original vision to establish financially and ecologically-sustainable urban farming systems and then offer a helping hand to others whoโ€™d like to do something similar.

Weโ€™d like the opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to shaping the farm at 2204 Mt Samson Rd; farmer Arran, Mini Farm project, Samford Community Garden (Green Thumb Farm), former board members, operations team members, Millen Farm education program volunteers, Marist 180, Samford Commons, SDDPA and the thousands of volunteers who just came for some gardening with like-minded people.

Our sponsors; Bendigo Bank, Mooeys, SEGT, Niki Boyd, Darren Grimwade, City of Moreton Bay and the Queensland Government.

We wish you a merry Christmas and all the best for 2024.

We would like to say a big thank you to the year 6 students from Samford State School who generously donated $279 to Millen Farm.

The year 6 students designed and created a product to sell at their Market Day and then selected a local charity to donate their profits to. Two of the groups of students chose Millen Farm and we were so grateful to meet with them last week and accept this kind donation.

Thanks so much ๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸŒป
