Hellloooo, I’m Katy! 🐾

I’ve been privileged to work with animals for almost 30 years, with experience as a wildlife carer, vet assistant, zookeeper of 19 years and kennel technician — including the past 4 years here at Northshore. ❤️

You’ll find me in a few different places around the resort — in the kennels playing with the pups, in the office greeting your four-legged family members (and helping the humans too 😂), or in the cattery giving plenty of smooches to all the kitties. 🐶🐱

I love having full conversations with your pets (usually one-sided 😉), reassuring them that they’re going to have the most wonderful time and that plenty of cuddles are guaranteed during their holiday.

One of my favourite parts of the day is getting the dogs out to play, whether that’s in a group or enjoying some one-on-one time with a human. Seeing them make friends, get the zoomies and soak up all the cuddles is guaranteed to put a smile on my face. 🥰

And there’s a very special reason I recommend Northshore so wholeheartedly. Before I even started working here, my own dog loved Northshore so much that he didn’t even want to get in the car to go home! 😂❤️
I think that says everything about the kind of place Northshore is, a place where our pets genuinely feel happy, safe and at home.

Being part of the Northshore team and helping make your pets’ holidays special is something I’m incredibly grateful for. 🐾❤️

Hi everyone! I’m Caitlyn, and I’ve been part of the team here at the Pet Resort for 4 years and I can honestly say I absolutely LOVE my job.
Best job in the world! 🥰

Most of my days are spent playing with the animals, giving them plenty of love and attention, and of course… lots of cleaning! 😂
Most days you’ll find me covered in fur, drool and some sort of mystery substance I’ve decided is best left unidentified, but you’ll never hear me complain! I’m exactly where I want to be. ❤️

One of the best parts of my job is getting to know all of our regular pets and forming those really special connections with them. I like to say I don’t have favourites… but let’s be honest, I most certainly do! 😂
Some pets just tug at your heartstrings in exactly the right way and you can’t help but fall completely in love with them.
I also absolutely LOVE meeting all the newbies who come through our doors! 🐶🐱 Welcoming them into our Northshore family, helping them settle in and making sure they feel safe, comfortable and loved is one of my favourite parts of the job.

And speaking of family, that’s exactly what makes Northshore feel like one. ❤️ The people/the staff.
I knew I had found my perfect fit pretty much as soon as I saw how the team treated the animals — like they were their own. That was something really special to me, and I knew straight away that this was somewhere I wanted to be.

Four years in, and I still wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! 🐾❤️
