Protection training isn’t just teaching a dog when to act. It’s teaching them when to stop.
Apollo can be friendly, engage when commanded, release when commanded, sit — and return straight back to being friendly with the same person.
That control is just as important as the protection itself.
A protection dog shouldn’t make their own decisions about when the job starts and ends. They should understand the command, commit when required, and switch off when told.
That’s the standard we train for.
