Ndoto Labradors Labradors have always been a part of my life but my ultimate dream was to breed. We breed Labradors on a very personal and homely level.

The dogs live with us in and around the house, not in cages and they get used to other animals and children at a very early age.

September at Ndoto was a good one 🐾

Zoomies in the yard, muddy paws, plenty of treats, and more cuddles than we could count. Every guest went home tired, happy and very spoilt.

Ndoto means "dream," and that's what we aim for: a home away from home for your doggo. We take only a few dogs at a time, so each one gets real one-on-one attention. That means their own routine, their favourite spot on the couch, and someone who knows exactly how they like their ears scratched.
We are at Rosebank, not far from Byron Bay, Bangalow, Ballina and even the Gold Coast.

🐾 Look who's checked back in at Ndoto Homestays! 🐾

Our favourite repeat guest, Sam, has arrived for another luxury stay. Sam is Ruby and Ben's boy and officially turned one a few weeks back 🎂, which apparently means he now considers himself a grown-up.

Sam's holiday itinerary includes:
✅ Zoomies (scheduled and unscheduled)
✅ Unsolicited kisses for anyone within licking distance
✅ Trying to keep up with his big Newfie mates Frank and Roy, who are roughly the size of small ponies
✅ Enjoying spending time with his Labrador step sisters, and Mum and Dad. His Dad absolutely loves him! Mum, well she says she can do without the zoomies😳

He's playful, affectionate, and has never met a lap he didn't think he'd fit on. Frank and Roy love him with the patience of two very large, very fluffy uncles. 🐻🐻

We feel so lucky Sam lives close by, so we get to spoil him whenever his mum, dad and human sister head off on their own adventures. Don't worry, guys, he's having a wonderful time. He's barely noticed you're gone. 😉

For the last couple of weeks, Ndoto Homestays has been operating under Newfoundland management. 😂. Frank and Roy moved in while their parents travelled, and what a duo they've been!

Frank, the black Newfoundland, is the CEO of Chill. Calm, gentle, sweet-natured and always happy to accept affection.

Roy, the chocolate youngster, is the Director of Fun. At 10 months old (yes, only 10 months) he believes every stick must be investigated, every dog must be invited to play, and every day should contain maximum excitement.

Together they've eaten, slept, played, shed enough fur to knit a small rug, and completely won us over. We've loved every minute with these beautiful gentle giants and will miss them when they head home on Friday.

Thanks for staying with us, boys. ❤️🐾

Jelly is 50-odd kilos of pure marshmallow. She is a world-class cuddler and doesn't do small hugs. She leans her whole self in until you're pinned to the chair and settles in for the long haul.

Bodhi, the Golden Retriever 🎾
Bodhi has one setting: PLAYTIME. Every dog he meets is instantly his new best friend, and he'd like to play with all of them at once, please.

Dear Human,

I’ve been doing some very important research (while you were out earning money for my treats), and I’ve found the perfect place for my next holiday: Ndoto Homestays in Rosebank. Not far from the beautiful Byron Bay. It’s basically a luxury resort for dogs… but without the weird spa music.

Kim — the Chief Fun & Care Executive — has over 20 years of experience caring for Labradors, but don’t worry… you don’t have to be a Labrador to get the royal treatment. She only takes a small number of guests, so I get VIP status.
