Well done Reggie and Jed👏👏👏, Reggie was purchased from us about 12 months ago and his owner has taken him to his first comp, Nerang Pony Club Gymkhana, and very pleased to be among the winners🏅in a very competitive adult group. Whilst Reggie (Raven Renegade) was not bred by us, his dam Peppys Indiana Rose was. She is by Peppys Matlock, a full sister to our stallion Strike and the good Rodeo mare Peppyz Arizona. Indi has been breeding some lovely foals for us by Resolute Serenity. Reggies breeder Jess Rose I'm sure will be pleased to hear Reggies achievements with Jed, who loves him .. I'm sure there will be more to come. 🥇🥈🥉

The time is near... the first of 2026 foals should be arriving soon, so beware, there will be foal spam over the next few months.. the first were due today and usually we have early arrivers but this dry season maybe they'll cook a bit longer.. a few newby mares this year so will be interesting... 🙏all goes well.

Wyoming Stud horses ventured up to Widgee & District Pony Club Stockmans Challenge & Gymkhana this weekend. They represent Rosewood Pony Club.

⭐️Charlie Boy & Ella Osborne was 1st in Working, Utility & Cattle Work and took out the overall for her Stockmans Challenge 9-10 age group. Her outside cattle work was the best run she's had 👏👏👏 They were 3rd overall in 10 yr age grop for the Gymkhana and won the fastest time for the feature Junior Barrell Race.

⭐️Maverick & Courtney Osborne was 1st in the Working & Cattle Work & 2nd in the Utility section to be take out the overall Stockmans Challenge for the 25-40 Age Group. In the Gymkhana section, they won Overall Age Group and also won the Senior Barrels and had fastest times of the day for the barrels and bending races.. not bad for a big horse like Maverick to twist those poles.

⭐️ River & Bonnie Osborne was 1st in the Working and 4th in the Utility & Cattle section of the 8 & under Stockmans Challenge. They were 2nd overall in the Gymkhana Secton. Great effort for Bonnie on her young Palomino Pony who is mostly trained and ridden by her.

Shout out to grand-daughter Hydie Sturgess who celebrates her 16th birthday today 💝🎉🎈 A big year for Hydie, who is a junior player for her local Chinchilla Polocrosse Club. Firstly selected to represent Qld at the Nationals which was to be held in Darwin in June but deferred to 2027 due to fuel crisis. Then selected to join the Australian Polocrosse Junior Girls squad. Hydie gets a chance representing for Australian in the Junior International Test Series in October at Serpentine Foothills Club WA, where they will match players from Zambia, US & UK. What a great opportunity. Well done Hydie and have a great day and trip to WA. Celebrate you achievements🎉❣️👏👏👏

Peppys Matlock by Peppys Doc Bar IMP ... the foundation of our Wyoming Stud ... a great stallion himself, competed successfully campdraft & challenges, great cowhorse, great rideability. We tragically lost him 7 years ago at 19 years old, but he has left his legacy in the Stud.

Our beautiful and successful paint stallion Match My Class (Strike) who he himself is stamping his mark on his foals.. the successfull and versatile geldings Maverick, Charlie Boy & mare B Witched that are out there doing well in challenges, pony club and have featured on this page in recent times.

But importantly his mares .. we are fortunate enough to have a few .. they mostly have competed in campdraft, showing, polocrosse, all have done the long miles mustering and now they are the base of our breeding program to Resolute Serenity.. and we could not be happier than what we are producing..

If you are new to the page, take a scroll, the majority of our horses have this wonderful stallion Peppys Matlock in their blood. And if you see horses with big bally faces, thats his dad Peppys Doc Bar stamping his mark.

Foaling season approaches and busy day today swapping broodmares between properties, out with the girls who just weaned their YR25 foals, in with the 1st group to foal September.. drench and treatments while we have them to hand.

It is very dry after below average summer rainfall.. 🤞🌧🌦

Foaling September is:

Lindesayview AJ (black) & WS Little Megz (blonde chesnut) to Resolute Serenity.

Mary (tobiano) & Sunday Rose (grey) in foal to Noal Day's ASH HSH palomino stallion Blacksprings Rolex, by Chalani Sunstream, who is a lovely tall boy, great front, wonderful temperament and rideability.. and maybe a bit of difference in colour to the herd!!

At day 2 of Rathdowney Pony Club Stockmans Challenge & Campdraft, it was drafting day and the Wyoming Stud geldings had another good day.. from 2 rounds of Campdrafting:
👏👏👏
8-10 yrs 1st Rnd: Serocco and Bonnie Osborne was equal 1st on cut out score 20 (no outside scores). A young horse himself (4.5 yrs), having his 1st challenge and draft, he behaved very well for his 8yo rider.

8-10 yrs 2nd Rnd: Charlie Boy & Ella Osborne 4th overall and their Cut Out Score 21 was the highest for the day.

Seniors: Maverick and Courtney Osborne placed 3rd 1st Rnd. Had a fast tricky one but managed to get it around and just missed the gate with time. 👏👏👏

👏👏👏Wyoming Stud geldings have had a successful day at the Rathdowney Pony Cub Stockmans Challenge event..

Maverick ridden by Courtney Osborne won the Senior Event overall (1st Utility, 2nd both working & Time Trial).. sponsored by Office of Jon Krause.

Charlie Boy ridden by Ella Osborne took out 2nd place ( 1st both Time Trial & Obstacle Course, 4th in Utility Hack) in the Junior event ... sponsored by Jones Concrete Solutions.

Bonnie Osborne rode young Serocco for a 3rd in the Utility Hack section.

Then they participated in a couple of novelty events with Maverick and Courtney winning the Seniors Pole Bending, sponsor S&S Build, and 2nd Feature Barrel.. Ella and Charlie 2nd Junior Feature Barrel sponsored by Jones Concrete Solutions

If only we could put this 21 year old mare in a 5 year old body.. Wyoming B Witched you just keep getting better .. lots of wins yesterday at the Mudgeeraba Pony Club Formal Gymkhana with owner rider Madi Boss, who certainly had her arms full at the end of the day.

Madi took out the highpoint overall in her 14 yr age group, excited to win her first presentation class (thanks for the clip job Stephanie Clements). Some of the best times in the novelties ... was fastest time of the day in a couple of events, including the feature barrel, where you could have 2 shots at it and placed 1st & 2nd in the U16 age group and fastest time of day.. thrilled with her run in top score jumping, doing some twist and turns to cover the high number jumps, pulling a rail which kept her out of top spot. Very much a confidence building day.

There were some great prizes, trophy rug, sashes and rosettes, thank you to all sponsors, officials and volunteers who make it all happen. A great day and good numbers in each age group. Well done👏👏👏 A nice day back at our old pony club.
