**Simple ways to protect your chickens, ducks & other backyard birds**

Birds can be vulnerable to infectious diseases, including **avian influenza**, but there are simple steps you can take to reduce the risk. 🐦❤️

🏡 **Keep birds enclosed**
Where possible, keep your birds in a secure enclosure and away from wild birds.

🚫 **Don't share food or water**
Avoid placing feed or water where wild birds can access it.

🧼 **Keep things clean**
Regularly clean and disinfect coops, feeders, drinkers and equipment.

👟 **Watch what you bring in**
Clean footwear and equipment before entering your bird areas, especially if you've visited other poultry or farms.

🐦 **Avoid contact with wild birds**
