The third question I asked Linda was...

In regards to our horsemanship, what challenges/blocks do you see most consistently in people and what is needed to overcome them?

Linda answered...

Sometimes the horse doesn’t cooperate the way they had hoped ;). This is where knowing how to bring out the best in the horse is important. It takes something different from just good riding skills and techniques, or knowing the sport. You need to understand where horses are coming from and how to get them to want to collaborate.

So many horses are forced to some extent, and its usually the most talented ones that have the most trouble. Most riders and trainers don’t know how to deal with ‘behavioral’ issues. Knowing how to use behavioral psychology is a powerful key and it’s advantage been proven now for over 30 years in every discipline and endeavor with horses, from novice to Olympic level. And just ask the horses – they prefer it!
