GOLD SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: BAW BAW SHIRE COUNCIL ❀️🐾
THREE YEARS. THREE COMMUNITY GRANTS. One absolutely amazing community! πŸ™Œ
For the third time, we are incredibly grateful to have received a community grant from Baw Baw Shire Council to help bring Barkin Mad Ultra to life.
Beyond the grant itself, the support we receive from the Events team within Baw Baw Shire has been invaluable. From event support to helping us make Barkin Mad happen, we’re so fortunate to work alongside people who care about our community and the causes that make it special. ❀️
And one of our favourite parts? Having the Baw Baw Shire Pound team join us on race day with some of their gorgeous pound dogs! 🐢🐾 What better way to celebrate an event where dogs are running for dogs, while helping shine a light on those still waiting for their forever homes?
Barkin Mad is a small event with a big heart, and it takes an incredible community to make it happen.
Thank you, Baw Baw Shire Council, the Events team, and the Pound team for your ongoing support and for helping us raise funds for Aus Hair of the Dog Rescue Inc.
We are so proud to be part of this community. ❀️

SILVER SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: SPEEDY LOCKSMITHS πŸ•β€οΈ
Some people don’t just support a cause β€” they help hold it all together.
Speedy Locksmiths has been a long-term supporter and an absolute backbone to Aus Hair of the Dog Rescue Inc., and their support of Barkin Mad Ultra 2026 was nothing short of incredible!
This year, Speedy Locksmiths generously donated the prize money for our 20km and 50km dog distances, as well as the dog finisher medallions! πŸ…πŸΎ Because our four-legged athletes deserve to be celebrated just as much as their humans!
And that wasn’t all… Chris Speedy joined us on race day, creating iconic engraved memorabilia for our runners and their dogs. Personalised keepsakes that capture the memories, the muddy paws, the kilometres and the adventures shared together. ❀️
From supporting the rescue behind the event to helping celebrate our incredible participants, the Speedy Locksmiths team continues to go above and beyond.
Chris and the entire Speedy Locksmiths crew, THANK YOU. Your generosity means so much to us and to the dogs whose lives are changed through this little event.
Please show these legends some love! πŸ‘β€οΈ

For the past THREE YEARS, the incredible team at Warragul Vet has stood alongside us, supporting Barkin Mad Ultra and helping us bring this event to life. Honestly, words don’t do justice to how much that means to us. ❀️
Not only were they one of our amazing Gold Sponsors, but their veterinary professionals were also out on race day, helping keep our four-legged athletes safe on the trails. πŸ•β€πŸ¦Ίβ›°οΈ

🐾❀️ A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING VOLUNTEERS! ❀️🐾

Barkin Mad Ultra 2026 simply would not have happened without the incredible people who gave up their time to volunteer.

From early mornings to late afternoons, setting up, packing down, marking courses, helping participants, looking after our four-legged runners, working behind the scenes and everything in between β€” you were there, and we are so incredibly grateful. πŸ™Œ

Even when the weather turned, the earthquake shook things up and the trails became muddy and challenging, our volunteers continued to show up with smiles, patience and an incredible amount of enthusiasm. πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈ

You gave your time so that we could give back to dogs in need, and that means more to us than we can put into words.

Thank you for being such a huge part of the Barkin Mad family. 🐢🐾

We couldn’t do it without you. ❀️
