Someone asked me this week, "Why do you keep trying to support an industry that just keeps tearing you down?"

And it really got me thinking.
Why do I keep doing what I do? Why dont I just walk away and just focus on me! But I love sharing my knowledge and seeing others grow.

โ€‹Our industry can be tough. Unfortunately here in Australia there is a thing called tall poppy syndrome or as Chris said this week if you stick out like a nail you will keep getting hammered. ๐Ÿคฃ(Thats not ment to sound dirty) ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

There are people who try to push others out of the way or pull them down just to get ahead or what ever it is their trying to achieve ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

But here is the honest truth: every single time someone has tried to make me quit, doubt my self-worth, or push me into the background they have only added fuel to my fire. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Every attempt to pull me down just makes me come back stronger. It makes me work harder. Every hater and every doubter has just given me that fierce, "watch me roar" energy.

โ€‹I know I don't have to prove myself to anyone. I do this because I know my skill and I know my capacity to help others grow.

But all of those people who tried to push me out of the way are a huge reason why I have built the success I have today.

Just this week, I had someone try to tear down my self-worth and make me question why I do what I do. Instead of breaking me, it reminded me exactly who I am. I have 20 years of pet grooming experience, I have been teaching for 15 years, I know my capacity and I am surrounded by incredible people who know and support me.

So, instead of shrinking, I am expanding. ๐ŸŒโœ‚๏ธ

Here is a cheers to anyone out there dealing with the BS do not let them push you out of your lane.

Let them watch you roar. ๐Ÿฆโœจ

Two new little personalities joined me today and I think itโ€™s safe to say we became friends VERY quickly ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿฉท

First up, Bentley, Frenchie by birth, piglet by identity. ๐Ÿท

Cute, chunky, curly little tail and a soundtrack of snorts that apparently continues no matter what activity heโ€™s doing ๐Ÿ˜‚ He came straight up to me the second I arrived looking for loves and pats, then proceeded to lap up every single second of his pampering. Absolutely no complaints from Mr Piglet.

Then we have beautiful Willow ๐Ÿฅน

I was told Willow can be a little wary of new peopleโ€ฆ apparently nobody told Willow that, because she greeted me by basically embracing me in a hug. ๐Ÿ˜‚

This girl was carrying some SERIOUS blown coat, so today was all about getting that old hair OUT.

The pile in the photo? That was just her pre-bath brush. ๐Ÿ˜ณ We then removed probably twice that again through her specialised in-bath deshed, blow dry and post-bath brush.

Approximately 20kg of Willow laterโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜‚ we found the dog underneath!

She was an absolute champion through the whole process and seemed to genuinely love every second of it. Both of these two were so happy, affectionate and excited to hang out with me today, pretty bloody good way to spend a work day if you ask me. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Today I had the absolute pleasure of giving this beautiful young lady her very first professional groom ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿฉท

Pip is currently patiently waiting for a permanent little spot to open up on my books, so today we snuck her in for a one-off appointment and what an absolute sweetheart she was!

Full of love, energy and LOTS of kisses, but the second it was time to get down to business she sat beautifully and soaked up every second of being pampered ๐Ÿฅฐ

We kept her gorgeous Cocker coat nice and long, giving her a light tidy and some maintenance to keep everything healthy, manageable and looking fabulous.

For a first ever groom, she absolutely smashed it. ๐Ÿ’• I have a feeling Miss Pip is going to be one of those girls who thinks grooming day is the BEST day ever ๐Ÿ˜‚
