Littlewood Berry Farm

Littlewood Farm is home to the pick-your-own Littlewood Berry Farm, Littlewood Lamb and Jam Gin. Sunflowers will start hopefully around February.

We're located on the road to Richmond in the heart of the Coal River Valley, Tasmania. Littlewood Farm is home to our pick-your-own strawberry patch, Littlewood Lamb and our Jam Gin and Liqueur. We have mixed open hours due to fruit availability and weather conditions so please always check before coming to avoid disappointment although we keep google hours and Facebook updated religiously around

open hours. Entry fee is $8 per person over the age of 2. For every person who pays an entry fee they receive a 'patch penny' that has a credit of $6 that can be redeemed on the day at farm shop to spend on ice-creams, coffee, pick your own or pre picked strawberries etc. If you wish to keep the patch penny as a memento of your visit you are more then welcome to but you cannot redeem the $6 credit. We provide all punnets and containers but if you want to pick large quantities we have scales so you are more than welcome to bring your own bucket. We can be very busy and get picked out very early so please always be prepared to venture out early. Thank you for supporting a small business in the heart of the Coal Valley and we hope you enjoy the experience of picking fresh produce. Eftpos is available and if you are just purchasing from our coffee van or shop there is no entry fee but you cannot enter the seating area or facilities without paying an entry fee.

Hello all, we are quiet in the off season as there is so much always happening on the rest of the farm, and also with new field going in and old fields coming out. There is never a slow or dull moment.
Last year we found our season to be about 9 weeks behind with growing conditions very difficult across all farming sectors.
Today as I walk the fields... I am seeing something very different.
Stay tuned for what may be an early start to the season!!!

Our school group bookings are officially open and we please ask that you share this post or tag anyone who should bring their class to the Littlewood berry farm for a school excursion to pick strawberries, visit the pet sheep and enjoy an icecream.
Super important that kids get out onto farms to learn where their food comes from.
All the information is on our website so please get in touch asap before spots fill up.
Tuesday til thursdays November til February. Holidays and vacation care groups welcomes, Lil groups, schools all ages.

It has been a long time coming as we have been very busy in other areas on the farm.

And just like that we say goodbye to another season at the
Littlewood Berry Farm.
We want to sincerely thank everyone who visited us this season.
We have had a lot of challenges with the weather and many factors that contributed to lower yields then expected but we are finding many new ways to try help combat all those issues going forward.
To all our customers and regulars, your unwavering support means the world to our small family run business and we really hope to see your faces and growing children next season.
To the amazing Jen at Littlebean coffee van, your warm and cold drinks and amazing treats are always a saving grace through out the season to the farm staff and customers and thank you with always supporting us where possible.
To all my amazing staff, new, old, returning and passing through, this business would not be what it is without you. Your amazing hard working ethics , knowledge and support for our family never goes unnoticed and will never be forgotten.
Then finally, my husband and family young and mature (older), thank you for your patience and helping me to always try and make the business take new baby steps in creating the perfect family experience that i have always envisaged in bringing children and families back to the farm in any way shape and form.
Although children may grow up and and families may alter, please always remember your happy memories at Littlewood and always, when in season, try and make it a place to create new ones.

LAST OPEN DAY OF THE SEASON
TUESDAY 12TH MAY
OPEN 9 30 TILL 2
I have been patiently watching and waiting for fruit to ripen and this is going to be our last blast sense the late notice.
Things are slowing down with soil temperatures dropping and fruit isn't ripening fast enough before it starts to deteriorate.
So please come out and support us tomorrow for the last day of the season!
Plenty of pre-picked (depending on how busy we are)
And even pre-picked maybe semi limited due to over night losses with heavy dews and not knowing what is quality is like till the morning.
Please share, come out and enjoy our space for the last day, have a coffee, pie and icecream to get your last treats before the next season starts again in maybe November
