Happiest birthday to Dr Max! 🎉🩺

Dr Max will be away for a couple of weeks. Whilst he’s away enjoying some well-deserved time off, his fur child Jet will be filling in for him.

His sub role includes:
- donating blood to save critical patients (which he has already done this weekend!)
- stealing all the plush toys
- trying to not eat cats (he does not like this job)
- being as lazy as possible
- missing his dad

Enjoy your time off Dr Max, and he’ll see you all in a couple of weeks 🥰

Back from holidays at My Pet Hub Redlynch this week, going forward I will be working Monday and Tuesday for the foreseeable future, call reception an appointment. I will continue to perform the full range of consultations and surgical procedures.

🐾 Day 1 in Bamaga with Thursday Island Animal Support Group Inc 🐾

What an incredible start! Our first day was dedicated entirely to consults, and Dr Max & the team saw and treated 81 dogs today! 😱

From vaccinations to lump checks to dog fight wounds — we really did see it all 💪

A massive thank you to the amazing Northern Peninsula Area Regional Council - NPARC team for helping with animal transport and care - Henry, Winston, and George, you guys were absolute legends! 👏

Thank you for the support from fellow rescue group Stray to Stay for supplying crates again - thank you Corina.

Tomorrow’s shaping up to be a big day of surgery, so stay tuned for updates (and some very cute recovery pics 😍).

Ever wondered what life looks like for a dog who’s torn both cruciate ligaments and needed surgery? For Bob, it’s pretty sweet! 🐾

Bob ruptured his cruciate ligaments two years apart, but thanks to the skill of Max Fargher Veterinary Surgeon, who performed TTO procedures on both knees, he hasn’t missed a beat. These days Bob is living his best life going on walks, heading out camping, and always calling shotgun on the couch. 🤘🏼😍💜

Dr Max would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Thursday Island Animal Support Group Inc for making this clinic possible. 💚

🤝 A special mention to Sonia, TIASG President, and Ingrid, their amazing coordinator, for all the behind-the-scenes work that kept things running smoothly.

👏 And to our wonderful volunteers – including Lucas, who also joined us in Bamaga – your time, energy, and care for the animals make all the difference.

We’re so grateful for the teamwork, community spirit, and support shown to the animals of the Torres Strait. 🐶🐱

Dr Max is now off on a well-earned holiday until October – wishing him a relaxing break before he’s back at it again!
