📢 Clinic Closure & Fireworks Reminder 🎆🐾

Please note that Proserpine Veterinary Clinic is closed today - Friday, 19 June. We will reopen as normal on Saturday (8am-11am).

For any emergencies during the closure, please call 4945 1878.

As fireworks celebrations will be taking place, now is a good time to prepare your pets. Fireworks can be frightening for many animals, so here are some tips to help reduce their stress:

🐶 Keep pets indoors in a secure area before fireworks begin.
🏠 Create a safe, quiet space with their favourite bedding and toys.
🎵 Play calming music or keep the TV on to help mask loud noises.
🚪 Ensure gates, fences, and doors are secure to prevent escape.
🏷️ Check that your pet's ID tags and microchip details are up to date.
❤️ Stay calm and act normally to help reassure your pet.

If your pet experiences severe anxiety during fireworks, please contact us before the event to discuss management options.

🐄🎡 PUBLIC HOLIDAY CLOSURE NOTICE 🎡🐄

Please be advised that our clinic will be closed on Friday, 19th June for the Show Public Holiday.

If your pet requires urgent veterinary attention while we are closed, please call our after-hours emergency service on (07) 4945 1878. 🐾

Our clinic will then be open Saturday, 20th June from 8:00am–11:00am, before returning to our normal trading hours.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope everyone enjoys the holiday!

These two dogs were found on Faust Street in Proserpine while Dr Emily and Nurse Stella were out and about!

They are now safe at the clinic and are not microchipped.

If you think either of these dogs may belong to you, please contact the clinic on 4945 1878 as soon as possible.

Meet Loki 🐾🐱

We have recently completed chemotherapy treatment for our amazing patient, Loki. We first started seeing him in June 2025, and one year later, he finished his final chemotherapy treatment.

Throughout his entire journey, Loki showed incredible strength, resilience, and a truly wonderful spirit. He faced every treatment with courage, and his sweet personality quickly won over our entire team. It has been a privilege to be part of his care, and we are so proud of how far he has come.

He is currently safe and enjoying lots of cuddles from our nurses, but we would love to get him back home before the weekend. ❤️

Did you know that microchipping is one of the simplest and most effective ways to help lost pets find their way back home? ❤️
