Well, let’s just say I was very happy to be back today.

It was a busy day, but I was especially excited to pamper Ned for the very first time.

Ned is the beautiful new member of the Elsa Kindergarten crew, and while he was a little nervous at the start, he soon relaxed and settled in beautifully. He was such a good boy for his tidy up, taking everything in his stride and soaking up all the love and attention.

Watching a new puppy gain confidence during their first groom is one of my favourite parts of the job, and Ned did an amazing job. I can’t wait to watch him grow and continue his grooming journey with me.

I would like to send our deepest condolences to Bernadette and Cookie on the loss of their beautiful girl, Milly.

Miss Milly crossed the rainbow bridge, and our hearts are with you during this difficult time.

Bernadette and Cookie would travel all the way from Hamilton so I could pamper their precious girl, and it was always such a privilege to spend time with her. Miss Milly was a beautiful soul with the sweetest nature.

Thank you for trusting me to care for her. She will be so deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Hey Portland Dog Grooming family,

Firstly, thank you all so much for your patience while I've been busy raising our beautiful Groodle puppies.

I completely understand that many of your fur babies are due for a groom, and I don't want anyone waiting so long that their coats become matted or uncomfortable.

Because of this, I will be opening up a limited number of grooming appointments before my official return. These appointments will be from my home, so all dogs will need to be dropped off and picked up.

If your fur baby is in need of a pamper, please send me a message and I'll do my best to fit you in.

A couple of days ago we lost one of my beautiful regular clients, Ollie Pop.

Ollie came to see me every fortnight for his medicated baths and pampers, and this one has truly hit hard.

I first met Ollie and his beautiful owner Reggie years ago when I was working at the vets. Reggie had rescued Ollie from a horrible situation, and honestly she brought him back to life.

With the kindest heart, so much patience, consistency, training, love, and endless care, she helped Ollie learn what it felt like to truly be a dog. The simple things most dogs get to enjoy walks on the beach, playing, feeling safe, going to dog obedience, being loved unconditionally. Watching Ollie slowly grow in confidence over the years was something so special to witness.

Reggie gave Ollie the best life possible. Through all his skin issues, lumps and bumps, and health hurdles, she never stopped showing up for him. She fought for him, loved him deeply, and gave him the happiest life in his older years.

I’ve absolutely loved watching the bond these two built together. They truly were the perfect pair.

I’m sitting here in tears writing this because I know how much Ollie meant to Reggie, and I know just how loved he was by everyone who met him.

You’ll forever be remembered for your quirky personality, your s***k, your handsome beard, and those eyes that stared right into your soul.

You were so, so loved.

Our hearts are so full

Rani has welcomed her beautiful puppies into the world on Wednesday the 22/4/26

And wow thank you SO much for all the messages I know you’re all hanging out for the puppy spam and it’s coming.

Rani and babies are doing beautifully, and we are soaking in every tiny squeak, cuddle and precious newborn moment.

This is such a special chapter for Tigerlily Groodles, and I can’t wait to share their journey with you as they grow

I just wanted to give you all a little heads up.

I’ll be taking some time off as my beautiful groodle prepares to have her puppies
Such an exciting time for us.

Last day of grooming: 14th April
Returning back: 16th June

That means I’ll be off for 9 weeks soaking up all the puppy love.

If your fur baby will need a groom while I’m away, please don’t hesitate to message me I’m more than happy to recommend some lovely groomers I trust.

Happy Easter everyone.

With Easter just around the corner, I just wanted to jump on and wish all my beautiful clients and their fur babies a safe and happy Easter.

I’ll be taking a little time to slow down, soak up some family time and enjoy all the cuddles with my own fur babies.
