MYLEE 💖

Mylee is my girl. She’s like my best friend, she gets extremely excited to see me, she lives in my estate so I take her out most days, almost everyday. She stayed with us for the first time this weekend and was my shadow. She reminds me of my old staffy Miley so I probably spoil Mylee a bit. She loves beach, bush, sticks, balls, frisbee, chasing and annoying Sterling. There are hundreds of photos and videos of her in my phone now. She is very loved and spoilt at home so I’m just the fun Aunt now 🤣🙌

WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS 📸

Week 35/52

Spring is here, the weather has been amazing. There will be lots more pool play and beach days now.

On the rescue side:
- Walter the Blue Cattle Dog is currently on trial.
- Lilly&Loki are on hold & off to new home next week.
- Momo&Maui who I didn’t have to even advertise are adopted and just finalising paperwork.
- Tomorrow I have a beautiful Ragdoll coming for Rehoming.

DELILAH’S STORY

PLEASE SHARE TO FIND HER FOREVER HOME 💖

Delilah has a truly amazing story, a story of survival but also dedication from amazing animal carers/lovers. I thought I would share what I know about it to help find her the perfect home!

Delilah was originally trapped in the Wauchope area where several cats were being trapped. She was taken to the Port Pound and although fractious you could tell she had been around humans and wasn’t aggressive. She was pregnant and birthed in the pound with the help of my friend and staff member Jasmine. She had 3 kittens and they all went into foster care through PMAWS with my friend Rachael. Unfortunately Delilah was very stressed and determined so she escaped that night and went missing for 5 months. Rachael raised her very young kittens and they were all rehomed. Rachael then worked for 5 months to trap her and ended up trapping her with another 3 kittens. She was fostered between Rachael and Jasmine for several moments before being adopted. Unfortunately she escaped her new home that night. Jasmine then worked for 11 weeks to recapture her from this new location. She set traps, missing posters and worked with a lovely gentlemen Col who had cameras to help with sightings. Cat traps weren’t working so Jasmine bought a bigger trap and that eventually worked. She has now been confined to a bathroom and spare room to minimise any escaping risk. Her foster home is busy with kids/pets and not her forever home even though they love her so much.

Delilah is a beautiful cat and extremely affectionate once she knows you but she is nervous around new things and just very untrusting. With the right person she will make an amazing cat. She LOVES other cats and seems to do well with respectful cat savvy kids. She will need a very secure new home, potentially a catio and highly recommended to be an inside cat for life. She needs a patient, loving cat person.

GOLDEN TEDDY UPDATE

This beautiful boy was adopted 7 weeks ago. He was SO popular, my phone didn’t stop. He went to a beautiful local family and is now living his best life. He looks so happy and healthy now. 🌟

SMALL DOG FUN 🤩

Once a month we host a small dog daycare day which is so much fun! I have smalls on other days but this is their dedicated day. Over the coming months I will reopen my books for daycare and daycare dogs get first opportunity at boarding too. So if your small might be keen to try a monthly day of fun send me a message! 🐾

The goal is to keep an our family home here and buy property with my mum to expand the business with boutique home boarding, dog adventures, private dog parks, secure fields, boutique cat boarding and rescue facilities.

CHIPS THE CHIHUAHUA

This week I had an amazing new photographer come join me for a beach walk, just for fun. She took some great shots so thought it would be a fun opportunity to showcases some of the special dogs on my life. There is no favouritism, I love everyone equally. 🤣

First up is the newest and youngest and smallest crew member, our puppy Chips!

Seriously obsessed with him (if you haven’t noticed). He has such a big personality. He’s been with us 6 weeks now and he has fit in seamlessly. It’s still been quite hard. Lack of time, 3 kids and boarders every night. Separation and management from other dogs. Crate Training. Toileting - which has predominantly been out the front on leash or pads. He’s done remarkably well given the constraints. He sleeps in a crate 12 hours a night and whenever I’m busy during the day. He is pretty much toilet trained now. He has the best recall in the pack. At 14 weeks old he responds every single time. It’s quite unbelievable but given the bush/beach are his backyard it makes sense. He has his own instagram and a few videos even went viral. He is extremely bonded to me even though he is my son’s puppy. My 8 year has done amazing with him though, helps with every aspect. Chips is still quite fiesty, especially with toys. He hates frontline spray and worming. It’s like wrestling a little crocodile. He does do little barks but we are working on that early on as I hate barking. He is incredibly smart and if I had more time his training could be on point but life is busy and we just do our best.

For a little dog he is larger than life. Seriously Chihuahuas are the best. I’m a big fan!

Rehoming Update:
- Bonded Cats Lilly & Loki had one amazing enquiry so currently on hold.
- Another bonded pair of young cats, Momo & Maui were surrendered. It’s been a while since we have had cats here, it was a fun 24 hours before they went on trial.
- Walter the Cattle Dog has a couple enquiries which I will get back to very soon.
- Coming up in just over a week is a beautiful Ragdoll.
