After two puppy grooms, it was finally time for Dalla’s first full groom and look at that gorgeous little face! 🀍🐾

She has grown so much already, and I think she looks absolutely beautiful. It was so lovely seeing her personality shine through now that we can really see her sweet face again.

Such a gorgeous girl and such a special milestone in her grooming journey. ✨

🀍 Maisie first groom with me 🀍

When Maisie owner came in, she explained that she had a very clear vision for how she wanted Maisie to look, but previous grooms hadn’t quite captured it. After spending some time chatting through the finer details, I knew exactly what we were aiming for.

A soft teddy bear finish with longer legs, a fuller head, and a style that felt elegant and balanced without looking overdone. Every little detail was shaped to complement Maisie’s beautiful features while keeping the look natural and timeless.

Once I finished balancing everything out, Maisie completely transformed. She looked absolutely stunning, and seeing how happy her owner was with the final result made it even more special. 🀍

Appointments like these remind me how far I’ve come as a groomer. Learning to trust my eye, trust my experience, and have confidence in the decisions I make has been one of the biggest milestones in my career. I’m incredibly proud of that growth, and I’m so grateful to have clients who trust me to bring their vision to life.

✨ Trust the Process | Growing a teddy bear muzzle

When Charley first came to me, he had a large section of coat missing from one side of his muzzle. As much as every groomer would love a magic fix, there simply wasn’t one. If I’d tried to make it perfectly round, I would have had to take the entire muzzle much shorter.

Instead, we chose to let it grow.

Fast forward to his fourth appointment, and look at him now. His muzzle has filled in beautifully, and we can finally achieve the soft, balanced teddy bear finish we were aiming for.

Sometimes the best grooming decision is knowing when not to chase perfection in one appointment. A little patience, regular maintenance, and trusting the process often give the best long-term results. 🀍🐾

✨ A little behind-the-scenes of my ear cleaning routine ✨

Ear cleaning is an important part of every groom, and over the years I’ve found a routine that works really well for me and my clients.

One product I keep reaching for is the Petway Petcare Ear Cleaner. I like to apply it during the bath as it can be quite messy. I gently massage the base of the ear to work the product through the ear canal. As I massage, the cleaner helps loosen wax and debris, allowing it to come out naturally without having to insert anything down the ear canal.

Once the ears have been gently cleaned, I simply wipe away any wax or debris that has come to the surface with a soft cotton pad. I love this gentle approach because it allows the product to do the hard work while helping minimise the risk of irritation.

Whist I fluff dry I like to place cotton balls in the ears during drying to help absorb any excess product, as the ear cleaner is quite oily but works like magic.

It’s a simple routine, but one that’s become my Staple. The Petway Petcare Ear Cleaner is honestly one of the best ear cleaners I’ve used, and it’s a product I genuinely trust for my clients. 🀍🐾
