It’s summer, coming up to Xmas. There have been a total of zero adoptions in the last 2 months & we are about to bring in another large group of unhandled horses. Nuts??? Yep, it certainly seems so.

This will be the he last time in the 25+ years doing rescue we will take in an unhandled group.

In 2024 Horse Welfare will change direction as a rescue.

So please, if you have been thinking about it. If you are a skilled horse person with capacity to take in 1 or 2 souls who desperately need someone to take a gamble on them, call us, we guarantee you will be rewarded ten fold.

Weekend Animal Attendant/Stablehand

- 12-20 hours per week.
- MUST have horse handling experience and be prepared to provide the highest possible standard of care to patients within a busy equine hospital.

Duties include:
Cleaning out boxes, feeding and watering of horses, grooming, holding horses for vets and nurses when required and keeping a very high standard of cleanliness and upkeep of the stables, feed room and hospital areas.

A work in progress on a large wall in Harrisdale.
This one features flora from the area and one of my favourite endemic birds of Western Australia- the Red-capped parrot.
There are a few of these that frequent the banksia woodland next door to this lot.
I have used an awesome shot taken by which fits perfectly amongst the foreground flora.
