This Monday, we’re introducing you to our lovely Chloe, one of our Veterinary Nurses! 🩺🐶

Chloe has dreamed of becoming a veterinary nurse since she was a little girl and has always been surrounded by animals. Outside of the clinic, she shares her home with horses, chickens, dogs, cats and fish — so it’s safe to say animals are a very big part of her life! 🐴🐔🐶🐱🐟

Chloe loves being able to turn her passion for animals into a career and takes great pride in providing gentle, compassionate care to every patient who comes through our doors. She especially loves making sure our patients feel safe, comfortable and, of course, getting plenty of cuddles along the way! 🥰

This sweet 10-week-old boy was such a brave little superstar for his puppy vaccination! 🥹🐶💉 After being so brave, Monty was more than happy to soak up some cuddles with Dr Hannah! 🥰

Little Gerdie was all snuggles during her visit with Nurse Tav! 🤍🐐

At just 1 weeks old, this sweet girl came in for her debudding procedure. Debudding is performed while kids are very young, before the horn buds attach to the skull, making the procedure safer and helping to minimise discomfort and complications later in life.

Horns can increase the risk of injuries to other animals, people, and even the goats themselves, especially if they become caught in fences or feeders. That’s why many owners choose to have their goats debudded at a young age.

Gerdie was an absolute superstar, soaking up plenty of cuddles before heading home to continue her recovery. 💚✨

💚 Recovery cuddles are the best medicine! 💚

Sweet Sylbie enjoyed plenty of snuggles with Nurse Chloe while waking up from her desexing procedure. 🐱✨ Keeping our patients warm, comfortable and feeling safe is a big part of their recovery, and we’d say Sylbie was pretty happy to soak up all the extra love!

Dr Hannah swapped the clinic for the paddock and spent some time giving this handsome goat a well-deserved hoof trim! Healthy hooves are so important for keeping our farm friends happy, comfortable, and moving with ease.

We always love getting out and about to care for our large animal patients—especially when they’re as sweet as this one! 🥰🐐

🐾 Meet the Team Monday 🐾

This week we’re introducing Dr Maaike, one of our wonderful veterinarians! 💚

Originally from the Netherlands, Maaike grew up surrounded by animals, including her pony Tosca, as well as cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens and cows. It was this early connection with animals that inspired her passion for veterinary medicine.

Maaike particularly enjoys working with large animals and ruminants and loves the variety that rural veterinary practice brings. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalised care and helping animals live happy, healthy lives.

While she loves living and working in Australia, she still misses her horse Mac and her cat Toulouse back home. 🐴🐱

We’re lucky to have Maaike as part of the Pittsworth Vet Surgery team, caring for the pets and livestock of our community. 💚🐾

Meet Milkshake and Cheeto—two adorable brothers who were desexed on the same day and spent their recovery exactly where they wanted to be: right beside each other. From snuggling up together to never leaving each other’s side, they reminded us that a little love and comfort can make recovery that much easier.🥹🐾

We couldn’t resist sharing this precious moment. Wishing Milkshake and Cheeto a smooth, comfortable, and speedy recovery! ✨💕

🐾 Meet the Team Monday 🐾

This week we’re introducing Dr Laura, one of our wonderful veterinarians! 💚

Laura grew up on her family’s cattle property in Moonie, where she was surrounded by animals from a young age. Watching veterinarians work with livestock sparked her interest in animal health and inspired her to pursue a career helping animals of all shapes and sizes.

Life on the property still keeps Laura busy, with thousands of cattle, several dogs, a cat, horses and plenty of chooks to look after! 🐄🐴🐶🐱🐔

Laura brings a wealth of rural knowledge, a caring nature and a genuine passion for animal welfare to our team, and we’re lucky to have her as part of the Pittsworth Vet Surgery family. 💚🐾
