This is the first post on this page, so I might as well start with why it exists. My partner runs a mobile dog wash, and for the longest time she was running the whole business out of a diary. Which meant she genuinely had no idea what a job actually cost her, no record of the kilometres she'd driven, and tax time was basically a guessing game.
I couldn't just watch her struggle with that, it seemed like something that shouldn't be too hard to fix. So I started building Client Compass. It's a business management app made for mobile trades. It handles her bookings and client records, logs her travel and vehicle use automatically, keeps track of her expenses and receipts, and gives her a running tax estimate as the year goes.
She's using it day to day now, and it's taken away a lot of the stress the diary used to cause, and given her back the time it used to eat up. Now I'm building it out further so it can work for any trade that drives to the job, not just dog grooming.
I'd genuinely love for people to come along for that. If you've got ideas, things you'd want an app like this to do, or even just criticism on what's not working, throw it at me. All of it helps make this better.
