Just when you thought we couldn’t grow anymore, please everyone show a warm welcome to the team Nuk!

This wonderfully funny human is not only a stellar Vet Nurse but after studying both a Bachelor of Animal Ecology and a Bachelor of Science (hons) where they studied the relationship between humpback whales and large shark species through space and time within the South East Queensland region, Nuk now works primarily in conservation within our local catchment keeping the environment healthy for us all.

You’ll catch a Nuk around the clinic on the odd Saturday when we need some extra hands on deck.

Nice weather for ducks today!
2 of the 3 of us managed to get to the clinic today around the flooded roads, so if you need to see a vet today we are open until 8pm with a few consult spots available, due to many of our clients being unable to get to us being flooded in themselves. If you’re out and about do be careful!

Paralysis ticks are out in force right now!
I have removed 4 from patients in less than 2 days here in the clinic, Inc this one pictured. With 2 pets off to have treatment now.

If you’re find a tick on your pet, head straight to the ER. Other symptoms may be wobbly legs, lethargy, coughing, retching, vomiting, inappetence, local pain where tick is located or even a slight lameness.

Please get your tick prevention updated today if it’s not up to date. There are lots of options available to suit all budgets and preferences. All the local pet stores stock them, but if you’d like our help choosing which to buy, please do reach out via DM, phone or email.
