🐾 WOMBAT DAY 🐾
We adore these crepuscular, herbivorous, burrowing, speedy marsupials!
Sadly, like most of our native species, they face many threats in the wild. Threats for wombats include habitat loss, vehicle strike, dog attack, drought, and sarcoptic mange which is fatal in 80% of affected individuals.

We’ve been following Bean Bag’s journey for 17 years! 💕 And now, this old gentleman deserves a comfy retirement village to call home! 🐾

So, today, we’ve made our donation to help make that happen, and we’d love your help to spread the word! After all, it is World Wombat Day! 🫶

IT’S WORLD WOMBAT DAY - We need to raise $60,000 in 24 hours!

TODAY IS OUR ANNUAL GIVING DAY… AND WE HAVE A HUGE CHALLENGE AHEAD OF US. ❤️

It’s Brigitte and Claire here, founders of Wombat Awareness Organisation.

We need to raise $60,000 in the next 24 hours to help make our Wombat Retirement Village a reality.

And we need YOU to help us do it.

We’re hoping at least 12 of you can kickstart our efforts this World Wombat Day by clicking here now: www.wombatday.com.au

Yesterday, we told you about Bean Bag, our beautiful 19-year-old wombat who survived being shot five times and has spent the past 17 years safe in our care.

After everything he has endured, we want his golden years to be filled with peace, comfort and love.

But we need to act NOW.

OUR TUNNEL MANUFACTURER HAS GIVEN US UNTIL NOVEMBER 1 TO SECURE OUR ORDER.

This is our chance to take a massive step towards creating a dedicated retirement village where elderly wombats like Bean Bag can enjoy their twilight years away from the boisterous youngsters, with the quiet surroundings and extra care they deserve.

But we can't do it alone.

TODAY, WE NEED OUR ENTIRE COMMUNITY TO COME TOGETHER

Your donation right nowhelps us move closer to securing the tunnels we need to make this dream a reality.

❤️ WILL YOU HELP US REACH OUR $60,000 GOAL IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS?

Bean Bag has survived so much. Now, we have the opportunity to give him and the elderly wombats who will follow something truly special.

A safe place to grow old.

A peaceful place to call home.

A retirement village built with love.

Please, if you've ever loved a wombat, been moved by their story, or believed in the work we do, stand with us today.

Let's make this World Wombat Day one that changes the future for our elderly wombats.

We have 24 hours. We have $60,000 to raise. And with your help, we have hope.

Just $5 from each and every one of you would get us to our goal. It’s the cost of your next cup of coffee but one that will help us more than you know. I

If you can please write the word DONE below after you have donated and please please share this post far and wide. We need all the help we can get right now. It’s urgent and we need this post to go viral. It it vital that we reach this goal by midnight tonight.

With all our love and gratitude,

Brigitte & Clare ❤️
