Mei Mei Cat Cafe A cosy cat cafe coming to Perth, WA 😺🪻

Make a silly lil cat card with me! 🖌️ I thought I’d share a bit about the process of designing these greeting cards. I am by no means a professional, but it was heaps of fun to make them.

My favourite part of our first market weekend was watching people walk up, point at one of the cards and say to their friend “Oh, that is SO me.”

Our paper products are printed on 100% recycled paper by a local family business - shoutout to Admiral Printing ⚓

More news to come on where you can buy these.

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who came by the Mei Mei market stall on the weekend! It was so nice to meet you, see photos of your cats, and talk about the cat cafe. I cannot express how meaningful your support is. I hope you enjoy your stationery! 📝✨

I liked it so much that I'm already planning for the next market day! Perhaps somewhere south of the river… 👀🌳

All funds raised from these markets go straight back into the business and towards opening a purr-manent cat cafe in Perth soon! 🙏

Last minute prep for the Market tomorrow! 🎁 Hope to see you over the weekend! 😻✨ It's so exciting (and nerve-wracking!!)...

Last minute prep for the Market tomorrow! 🎁 Hope to see you over the weekend! 😻✨

It's so exciting (and nerve-wracking!!) to do my first ever market - but I'm a little comforted because my mum will be just around the corner at Tiny Tea Shop! She's a permanent stallholder and sells tea every weekend. Be sure to say hi to her, and stock up on tea! 🫖🌿

Every time I visit or help my mum at her teashop, I always find Swan Settlers Market to be a homely and relaxed place full of kind, warm people. I'm very excited to be a part of the event this weekend! 😺🐶🐰

GUYSSS the washi tape just arrived 😍 and THEY LOOK SO GOOD!

I drew and designed these myself. It was pretty hard to know what they were going to look like, how detailed to make them, and how the colours would come out. But I gotta say, the results are amazing and I’m SUPER HAPPY with this first batch. I’d love to make more in the future.

Each washi tape roll is 15mm width x 10m length. At the moment we have three designs - cats 🐱 coffee ☕ and tea 🫖 You’ll be able to buy them at our pop-up stall on Sat 3rd and Sun 4th October at Swan Settlers Market pet-and-animal-themed weekend market. Come say hi! 👋

Special thanks to WashiGang for making this happen 💖

MARKET STALL ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣😱 We are doing a pop-up merchandise stall at the Swan Settlers Market in early October. We’re selling postcards, greeting cards, bookmarks and stickers to raise funds to support the opening of the cat cafe! If you love cats or crafts - come and say hi! 🎨

WHEN: 10am - 4pm | Sat 3 Oct & Sun 4 Oct 2026
WHERE: Swan Settlers Market | 124 Lennard Street, Herne Hill WA 6066

If things go well, the plan is to do a few more markets leading up to Christmas, and to eventually sell online if we can. We wanted to get this ball rolling while we continue to look for a premises (still no luck, waaah).

Why are cats so relatable?? 🫠

These recent doodles are inspired mostly by Mr Lawrence. Weirdly, I find a lot of his quirks are similar to my own. (Like, always thinking about the next meal? Me too, buddy.) 🤤

It's such a wonderful gift to spend time with a furry being so much, that you start to recognise their unique personality. 😻

Look out, there’s a menace about 🫣

It’s been so cold here in Boorloo lately 🥶 that Mr Lawrence has decided the best place to sleep at night is in the nook of my arm. He’ll stay there aaaall night, lying on his back with his belly in the air. Which I guess means, he feels safe? Which is great? But also means I can’t move and wake up totally stiff 😅 His habits change every few weeks so I’m just grateful he feels like being close to me at the moment.

Happy International Cat Day! 🐱🐾 Here are some silly little doodles to celebrate cats, the love and warmth they bring into our lives, and how goofy they are most of the time. 💖

Yes, we’re still here and we’re still on the hunt for a premises. It’s been tricky finding the best space for our future kitties! We are looking for something that ticks all the boxes for the cats, with enough space and natural light, that fits our budget, and gives us room to slowly grow the business. 🌳

Rest assured, we are not giving up!

In the meantime, give your cats at home a cuddle from us 💝
