Banshee had surgery today and she was a little sad and nervous. So our lovely nurse Aleeya comforted her by letting her have lap cuddles!
Banshee is wearing a recovery bodysuit. This is an another option for pets after surgery to keep their wounds clean, dry and protected. We have many options available at our clinic other than Elizabethan Collars which some dogs dogs do not like wearing. We aim to find the right option for each pet after surgery.

Our newest FIP survivor!

Brimstone presented to Dr. Leah in July after his caregivers noticed he wasn't quite himself. He was promptly assessed and blood tests run due to suspicion of FIP which was confirmed.

We are one of the few clinics in WA stocking the life saving treatment for this previously fatal condition, and Brimstone was commenced on treatment immediately, to which he showed a rapid response and improvement.

We are grateful to Brimstone's amazing caregivers for entrusting us with his care and bringing him for his regular appointments throughout the FIP journey, and of course to Brimstone for being the sweetest patient, always enthusiastically eating his treats every visit!

Whilst we are happy he is in remission, we will miss his visits!

🐾 **October is all about our amazing veterinary nurses!** 🐾

With **Vet Nurse Day coming up on 9 October**, we thought one day simply wasn’t enough to celebrate the incredible nursing team here at The Pet Practice.

So throughout October, we’ll be shining a spotlight on our nurses — introducing you to the people behind the scrubs, sharing a little more about who they are, what they love about their jobs, and giving you a glimpse of the care, compassion and hard work that goes on behind the scenes every day.

Our nurses play such an important role in looking after your pets, supporting our vets and keeping the clinic running smoothly, and we’re very lucky to have such a wonderful team.

Yesterday was a day of celebration, colourful scrubs, cake and a little sadness at The Pet Practice as we said farewell to our wonderful Monique. 💐

We congratulated Monique on graduating with her nursing degree as she begins an exciting new chapter in human nursing.

Monique has been such a valued part of our team, and we are so grateful for all her hard work, dedication and friendship over the years. We will miss her enormously, but we are so proud of her and wish her every success in this next adventure. Congratulations, Monique — you will always be part of The Pet Practice family. ❤️
