The dust hasn’t quite settled yet… but what a weekend.

It was an incredible few days of working dog sport here in Perth.

The 2026 WDFA Black Hound IGP National Championship brought dogs, handlers and a whole lot of team work.

We were incredibly proud to stand behind this event as Major Sponsor, but even better was getting to be there, meet so many of you and watch Australia’s IGP community come together.

A huge congratulations to every dog and handler who stepped onto the field, and to Ironside Dog Sports and everyone behind the scenes who made Nationals happen.

Day 1 and welcome to the 2026 WDFA Black Hound IGP National Championship!

The day began early with tracking. Some dew on the ground posed challenging conditions and tested our teams.

The atmosphere has been fantastic. Competitors supporting competitors, clubs coming together from across Australia, and plenty of incredible dogs doing what they love.

THE TRAFFIC TEST

The Traffic Test is an important part of the BH qualification where dogs are assessed in everyday situations and around people, other dogs, traffic and distractions.

But judging by the happy faces and wagging tails, our dogs were more than ready for the job!
