It’s not about turning up, being handed a list of generic training tips and being sent on your way.

David takes the time to look at your dog, what’s actually happening and what you’re struggling with in real life.

Pulling on the lead. Recall. Jumping. Reactivity. Over-excitement. Confidence. Or simply feeling like you and your dog just aren’t quite understanding each other.

We’ll help you understand the why behind what you’re seeing and give you practical strategies that make sense for your dog and your life.

You just need someone to look at YOUR dog, YOUR situation and say:

An In-Home session allows David to see your dog in their normal environment and work with you on the things that are actually affecting everyday life.

That might be:

🐾 Door rushing
🐾 Barking around the home
🐾 Struggling to settle
🐾 Behaviour on your usual walk
🐾 Overexcitement
🐾 Household routines and boundaries
🐾 Or something that’s simply difficult to recreate somewhere else

And you don’t need to know which session you need before contacting us.

“Don’t use treats… your dog should just listen.”

Heard that one before? 👀😂

Here’s the thing, food isn’t cheating. And when it’s used properly, it’s not bribery either.

It’s communication.

When we’re teaching a dog something new, we need a way to say: YES. That right there. Do that again.

For a lot of dogs, food is a brilliant way to do exactly that.

We use treats to:
🐾 Reward behaviours we want to see more of
🐾 Build focus and engagement
🐾 Help dogs understand what we’re asking
🐾 Create positive associations with new or tricky situations
🐾 Make learning actually worth their while

And no, the goal isn’t to spend the rest of your life walking around with chicken in your pocket 😂

As behaviours become stronger and more reliable, rewards can change. Food is a tool in the teaching process, not a lifelong bribe.

And if you’re sitting there thinking, “Okay… but my dog only listens when I’m HOLDING the treat” 👀 that’s exactly the kind of thing we can help with.

Our 1:1 training sessions with David are completely tailored to you and your dog. Whether it’s pulling on lead, recall, settling, overexcitement, confidence, focus, manners at home or you simply want to understand your dog a little better, we start with the dog in front of us and build from there.

🐾💚 WEEKLY WAGGLE WRAP-UP! 💚🐾

What a week last week was at Woof n’ Waggle! 🥰 We’ve had new faces, busy brains, fresh grooms, LOTS of play and a very exciting program officially kick off this morning!

🧠 Our Brain Busters crew started us off on Monday with another full house! Our Monday program is currently completely full, with our doggos working through their individual training, challenges and plenty of brain work with David. We absolutely LOVE watching this little crew progress each week.

🐾 Daycare has been BUSY! We welcomed some gorgeous new starters to the pack this week, Malcolm, Bandit, Charlie and Oakley! 💚 From confident little social butterflies jumping straight in, to quieter doggos taking things at their own pace, it’s been so lovely getting to know each of them.

There’s been wrestling, zoomies, ball games, obstacle courses, one-on-one play, placement work, naps, cuddles and approximately 847 photos of dogs having the time of their lives. 😂📸 And our Friday doggos made sure the week went out with a bang with one final pre-weekend party!

✂️🌸 Over in the grooming salon, our groomers have been working their magic all week, sending doggos home looking (and clearly KNOWING they look) fabulous. Fresh trims, fresh bandanas and some seriously cute faces coming out of that room. 🥹

🎓💚 And a BIG one this week… Life Skills officially kicked off this yesterday morning! Our new group joined David and me for their dog-free orientation, getting ready for the six practical weeks ahead. We are SO excited about this program and everything this little group is going to learn together, focus, calmness, confidence, loose-lead skills, cooperative care and all those everyday skills that make life with our dogs that little bit easier.

And just like that… another massive week done. 💚
