iba Inu puppies (well OK they are not puppies anymore, but shhh don’t tell anyone). Marishi, we call her Ishi, and Akatsuki, whom we refer to this little man as Suki, came and turned our lives around. Their love, vibrant personality, and cheeky mischievous energy became infectious and before we knew it we didn’t want to spend a second without them, and that’s where our problem started. We found it very difficult to find a place in Perth where we would be happy to take Ishi & Suki. We wanted to create a paradise for them, where the idea of FurBaby began! We wanted to create a different place; somewhere where your furbaby is a welcomed part of our family and will be completely adored by our staff.

Say hello to our newest Puppy Program recruit, Max!

This sweet boy has arrived with a gorgeous personality, a few confidence-building skills to work on… and some unruly locks that are definitely in need of some FurBaby TLC!

The Puppy Program is the perfect fit for Max, helping him build confidence, learn all about being a good boy at the salon, and get those wild puppy locks under control!

He’s already such a good boy, and we can’t wait to watch him grow, learn and blossom into the handsome little gentleman we know he can be.

Meet Harper our bubbly and energetic salon assistant who somehow manages to juggle high school AND a very important career in puppy cuddles!

Harper helps keep our grooming salon clean, tidy and running smoothly, while also lending a hand in daycare and making sure our furry friends get plenty of attention, playtime and love.

She’s always ready to jump in and help, loves a good laugh and brings such a fun energy to the FurBaby team. And let’s be honest, we’re pretty sure the daycare dogs have her completely wrapped around their little paws!

For Harper, FurBaby isn’t just a job it’s a place filled with wagging tails, dog hair, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, LOTS of puppy cuddles!

This pretty girl has already been winning hearts with her sweet nature and absolutely lovely manners!

This sweet little whirlwind of a baby has arrived for our Puppy Program, and she is already making herself VERY comfortable!

Georgia is one of the lovely faces helping keep our daycare crew happy, safe and social each day!

At FurBaby, Georgia helps supervise group play, manage those cheeky unwanted behaviours and make sure everyone is having the best day possible. Whether she’s breaking up a little doggy drama, keeping an eye on playtime or handing out cuddles, she brings a calm and caring energy to the daycare floor.

Her favourite part of the job? Greeting all the dogs each day! And honestly, we can see why.

Georgia is a huge Golden Retriever fan, especially when it comes to her own one-year-old golden girl, Beans! Outside of FurBaby, she loves DIY crafts, beach days and long walks with Beans.

Say hello to Becca, one of the youngest members of the FurBaby team and someone who brings plenty of energy (and probably a few animal stories) with her!

Becca is always happy to jump in and help, whether that’s keeping the grooming salon clean and organised or making sure everything is ready for the next fluffy customer. She’s a big animal lover through and through, with a serious soft spot for horses, so when she’s not hanging out with dogs at FurBaby, there’s a good chance you’ll find her around a horse!

She’s friendly, hardworking and always up for a chat, especially if the conversation involves animals.

We love having Becca as part of the FurBaby crew and can’t wait to see where her love for animals takes her!

Why is my dog shaking? They must be terrified!

Not necessarily!

We see this all the time with little dogs, especially Toy Poodles, Maltese and Chihuahuas.

Sometimes that little shake isn’t fear at all, it can be excitement, anticipation or simply a very busy nervous system.

Think about getting butterflies before something exciting. Your heart races, your hands get a little shaky and your body goes into overdrive.

Dogs can do the same thing!

The important thing is to look at their whole body language, not just the shaking.

So next time your little one starts trembling at the groomer, don’t automatically assume they’re terrified. They might just have a lot of feelings and absolutely no idea how to contain them.
