With Easter fast approaching, we’d like to wish all our pet parents and their fur babies a safe, joyful, and relaxing long weekend.

📅 Please note our Easter Opening Hours below

🐾 Some Safety Tips for your furry ones:

• Keep chocolate and hot cross buns (especially those with raisins) out of reach – they’re toxic to pets

• Be mindful of fatty foods that can cause stomach upsets

• Secure rubbish bins – curious pets love leftovers

• Watch out for decorations and small items that could be swallowed

• Ensure pets have a quiet, safe space if you’re hosting gatherings

If you have any concerns over the long weekend, please don’t hesitate to contact Baldivis Emergency or WAVES

Stay safe, enjoy the break, and give your furry friends an extra cuddle from us! 💛🐶🐱

This is lovely little Gizzy, a 9 year old long coat Chihuahua who came to us recently suffering from the effects of canine Pancreatitis 😢

Pancreatitis is a painful and potentially serious condition that can come on suddenly but with prompt veterinary care, most pets recover well. Knowing the signs can make all the difference:

- Vomiting
- Loss of appetite
- Lethargy or weakness
- Abdominal pain indicated by hunched posture, crying or restlessness
- Diarrhoea
- Dehydration

Treatment often includes intravenous fluid therapy, pain relief, dietary changes and close monitoring. Gizzy is now at home and doing much better with lots of love and care from her owner 🥰
