Raising awareness about important animal welfare issues in the community. Perth Pets in Need was founded in 2010 and has been created to help the needy animals of Western Australia. It exists as a referral and advisory service for owners in need of assistance; advertising animals needing rescue, available for adoption or requiring foster care; impounded animals looking for owners; and a forum to d
iscuss latest welfare issues and educate pet owners. This page is run solely by volunteers who dedicate our time to assisting the public, animals in need and do not receive any funding, donations or grants to do so. It is our aim to see as many animals assisted as possible and work with smaller non funded no kill animal welfare organisations who share our vision. We welcome anyone to post links or stories to share about a rescue organisation, an animal in need, websites of interest, topics or petitions that affects animals and pet owners of Western Australia. It is community based forum, so we encourage everyone to get involved by joining in discussions and providing feedback on welfare issues affecting our animals. We promote responsible pet ownership, rescue and adoption which includes sterilisation, micro-chipping and vaccination of all companion dogs, cats and rabbits, PRIOR to being rehomed. Our page supports ethical rescue groups, who ensure that the welfare of all animals in their care is made a priority, and represent the industry in a professional, empathetic manner.
