🎂 Happy Birthday to our newest team member, Jasmine! 🎂

Jasmine joined the Ascot Equine Vets team just a few weeks ago… just in time to experience one of our favourite practice traditions — the entire team giving their very best (and very loud) rendition of Happy Birthday 🎶😂

Originally from New Zealand, Jasmine made the move across the ditch after working as a receptionist in mixed practice in Auckland. She’s also a keen horsewoman, so she fits right in with our equine-loving crew 🐴

And for anyone calling the clinic — if you hear a lovely Kiwi accent on the phone, you’ve got Receptionist Jasmine… not Nurse Jazmin 😉🇳🇿

If you haven’t already met Jasmine, make sure to say hi next time you’re in the clinic!

We hope you’ve had a fantastic birthday, Jasmine — we’re very happy to have you as part of the Ascot family 🩵

Dr Reina is currently in Brisbane attending the Australian Veterinary Association Conference, soaking up the latest knowledge in equine veterinary medicine alongside colleagues from across the country. 🐴📚

On Monday, she completed the EVA Prepurchase Examination Workshop — an important prerequisite for all of our veterinarians performing prepurchase examinations. These workshops help ensure our team stays up to date with current standards, best practices, and advances in equine assessment.

The equine stream at this year’s conference has featured an incredible lineup of speakers and presentations, topped off by keynote speaker Professor Joe Mayhew — a world-renowned expert in equine neurology.

We love seeing our team continually learning and expanding their knowledge so we can keep providing the highest standard of care to our patients and clients. 👏 We can’t wait for Reina to return and share what she’s learned with the rest of the team!

Big news worth celebrating! 🇮🇪🇦🇺🎉

Our amazing Head Nurse Danika received the exciting news last week that she is now officially a Permanent Resident of Australia! 🥳

To celebrate, Dr Pete baked a very fitting Aussie classic — a delicious homemade lamington cake 🍫🥥

We’re so proud of you, Danika, and so lucky to have you as part of the Ascot Equine family. Here’s to exciting new chapters and many more celebrations ahead! 💚

🛠️✨ Reception upgrade: assembled with skill, determination… and only minimal IKEA-induced stress 😅

Nurse assistant Emily and nurse Jaz took on the challenge of putting together our new reception cupboard — and absolutely nailed it! The final result fits like a glove and looks fantastic in reception 👏

Safe to say the instructions didn’t know who they were dealing with 💪📖

Great teamwork, lots of laughs, and one very stylish new addition to the clinic — amazing job, ladies! 🤍

We’re so proud to be part of the journey for this very exciting horse. What a race preparation it’s been — and what a fantastic achievement for everyone involved at Stewart Racing. 🐎✨

So much love, care, dedication and hard work happens behind the scenes to keep these horses happy, healthy and performing at their very best, and it’s incredibly rewarding to play a small part in that process.

Rock ‘N’ The Jam has been such a wonderful horse to follow this preparation, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for him after a very well deserved break. The sky really does seem the limit for this talented horse.

Congratulations to Team Stewart and everyone involved, and thank you so much for the lovely acknowledgment of our team — it truly means a lot to all of us at Ascot Equine Vets. 💙

Yesterday was World Donkey Day and we couldn’t let the day slip by without introducing this little guy… aptly named Donkey 🤎

He was only a few days old when we first met him. Sadly, his mum was very unwell and he lost her far too soon.

But thanks to a whole lot of love and care, Donkey is now back home, thriving, and absolutely loving life.

From tiny hospital patient to happy little character — just look at those ears 😍 They could melt even the toughest hearts.

Zoom in on the collage for a few adorable snapshots of Donkey in hospital and now back home, where he’s clearly settled into the good life 🫶

Have you met Dr Evie yet? 👋✂️

From serious surgeon mode… to enjoying castrations just a little too much 😂

Evie joined the Ascot Equine Veterinarians team in February this year and has fitted in like a glove ever since.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Evie moved to Australia to pursue her passion for equine practice. After completing a one-year internship at Avenel Equine Hospital, she gained extensive experience in emergency and critical care, hospital medicine, and the management of performance and racehorses.

Evie loves the fast-paced, hands-on nature of equine practice and enjoys working closely with trainers and owners to help keep their horses healthy and performing at their best.

How tidy are her surgery skills! Hardly a drop of blood… which probably explains the smile in the second photo 😉👌🐴

🎉 Happy Birthday, Skye! 🎉

Today we celebrated the voice of Ascot Equine — the one who keeps the wheels turning, the phones humming, and (most impressively) the vets and nurses in line 😅

As the front of house, Skye is often the first voice our clients hear and the steady presence behind the scenes that keeps everything flowing. She has a way of keeping everyone calm (even on those very busy days), bringing a sense of order to the chaos, and always knowing exactly what needs to happen next.

She’s the voice of reason, the organiser, the problem-solver, and the quiet force holding it all together. Our clients and team alike are so lucky to have her — and it’s no exaggeration to say we’d be completely lost without her.

Thank you for everything you do, Skye — we hope your day was filled with cake, laughs, and a well-earned moment of peace! 🐴💙

Yesterday was a little bittersweet as we said “see you soon” to our incredible Surgery & Critical Care Coordinator, Taylah, as she begins her maternity leave 🤍

Taylah will be so missed around the hospital — her dedication, calm presence and genuine care (especially for our foals 💕) have made such a difference to both our team and our patients. But what an exciting new chapter ahead!

We hope you enjoy some well-deserved downtime before your little boy arrives… you’ve certainly earned it 🍼✨

A big thank you to for the delicious cupcakes and for the stunning bouquet to send Taylah off in style 🌸🧁

Wishing you all the very best, Taylah — we can’t wait to meet your little man 💙
