Under proud new ownership by Dr Louise Beveridge since December 2024 Padbury Vets is run by Dr Allan Roberts, who is a Welsh country vet with over 40 years experience. Dr Roberts trained in Edinburgh at the Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies from 1970 and worked in rural Scotland before he migrated to Perth in WA in 1993. He has also worked in third world countries such as Papua New Guinea, I

ndonesia and Yemen. Dr Roberts launched Padbury Vets in May 2006, having worked there for 7 years under the previous owner. Supported by his excellent team of Vet nurses and groomers, Dr Allan Roberts offers a consistency of care that will have you returning for the lifetime of your pet.

Shark teeth! 🦈
This little puppy came to see us for his check up and vaccination. On exam it was noticed his lower jaw was narrow making the lower canine teeth (the sharp fang ones) bite into the roof of the mouth. This is often called base-narrow canines and can be very painful.
We elected to extract these baby teeth to provide immediate comfort but also to give the developing adult canine teeth more chance to erupt in a more correct position.
We will monitor this little guy as he grows and assess how the big teeth are coming in.

A behind the scenes look at our in-house ultrasound training we did this weekend.

A big thanks to Dr Kerri who came in to help us better our scanning skills, and to nurse Karolina’s wonderful Toffee dog, who was our very patient patient!

Ultrasound is a wonderful tool that uses sound waves to help see real-time images inside the body!

Happy to report that Toffee’s scan was all normal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
