🐾 HAPPY VET NURSE DAY! 🐾

Today we celebrated the incredible people who are at the heart of our practice – our wonderful Veterinary Nurses! It is a special day to us in the industry to show our appreciation to these extra hard-working heroes.

Whether it is comforting anxious pets, taking blood samples, monitoring our anesthetics, providing exceptional nursing care, or just sneaking in a few extra cuddles and kisses, they always go above and beyond for our patients!

Padbury Vet Clinic simply wouldn’t be what it is today without each and every one of you!
So here is a HUGE thank you to Aleesha, Karolina, Courtney, Chantelle and Sarah! 💜🐾

We hope you won’t find the need for emergency vet care, but if you do outside our opening hours please take note of some of the local emergency centres, including newly opened AES in Osborne Park, and ACES in Balcatta 🐾

Cuteness overload!! 🐶 ❤️ 👶🏼
So, usually four-legged friends get all the love and attention at our place, but little Ari stole our hearts with her beautiful smile when she came to visit us with her pup Millie!
Both were super well behaved but only Millie seemed interested in her post-visit treats! 🦴 🤷‍♀️

🐦 🐦 🐦 BABY BIRDS : On the ground doesn’t always mean in trouble!!

We are heading into fledgling season and we have already had lots of juvenile birds brought into the clinic. Fledglings are baby birds learning to fly and are often spotted on the ground looking lost. Healthy, feathered youngsters often spend time on the ground while Mum and Dad forage and return to feed them. This learning stage can take days to weeks; not seeing their parents doesn’t mean that they’ve been abandoned. It’s a vulnerable but crucial part of growing up and the best teachers are their parents.

If you see a fledgling please keep cats indoors, dogs away and monitor quietly from a distance.

Please don’t remove them unless they are in immediate danger or if they are visibly injured. Obviously sick birds should be treated with caution due to recent arrival of bird flu. 🐣🐥🐦‍⬛
