Puppy Update

So after a bit of a rough start in life, Florence and Orlando are thriving. Florence was adopted today by a lovely lady and will live her best life up in the Perth Hills. Orlando (Lando) is feeling very lost without his little sister but is making the most of having lots of love and hugs. He will hopefully be heading to his forever home very soon.

We were all very sad to see beautiful Florence leave, and yes a few tears were shed, but we know that we have done our best for her and that she has gone to an amazing forever home.

What a night it was. Last Saturday our team got out of our grooming smocks and work boots for the annual Joondalup Business Association Award Night.

Le Shaggy Chic was a finalist in 3 categories, we didn't take away an award but we are winners none the less.

The Business of the year award went to The Good Company & Co Café in Joondalup. What a deserving winner. If you are looking for an amazing place for coffee or lunch please check them out.

I thank our amazing team, our community and of course our gorgeous clients, both 2 and 4 legged!

Puppy Update

Well after some logistical delays, the puppies have finally arrived in Perth.

Le Shaggy Chic are fostering 2 gorgeous babies so will give your regular updates

We are now entering what we refer to as "Matted Season". This is a very challenging time for groomers as many dogs come in to us totally matted after a few months of not being groomed.

Not having your dog groomed over winter is very detrimental. Being groomed does not mean shaved. It means being kept clean and matt free over the winter months.

Doing a shavedown on a matted dog is not a simple task, it takes a long time and is stressful for both dog and groomer. We have to use a very short blade to get between the matting and the skin which increases the risk of nicks. We of course will always endeavour to do our best to avoid any injury to your furbaby.

For this reason, Le Shaggy Chic Dog Grooming cannot be held accountable for and small wounds caused by the shaving of a matted dog.
