Horses can't tell us in words when something feels off, but their bodies usually do.

Swipe through for 5 signs your horse might be asking for a little extra TLC.

Targeted therapy like our Multi Radiance range, works by supporting circulation, easing tension and helping speed up the body's natural recovery process.

It's a great simple way to give your horse extra support between training, competition or just everyday life, so those small signs don't turn into bigger issues.

Before the saddle goes on, light therapy can be a simple addition to your horse's pre-ride routine. 🐴✨

We love using it before riding to support muscle comfort, circulation and relaxation, helping your horse feel more prepared for the work ahead.

You might choose to target areas like:

✔️ the back and topline
✔️ neck and shoulders
✔️ poll
✔️ hind end

Light therapy doesn't replace a proper warm-up. Think of it as another tool you can use alongside movement and good preparation.

A few minutes of targeted support, followed by a good warm-up, can be a great way to prepare your horse for work. ✨

Do you use light therapy before riding, or is it usually part of your post-work routine?

Spring is just around the corner and if your horse is prone to hoof sensitivity or has a history of laminitis, now is the time to get your management plan in place! 🌿

Rising grass, fluctuating ground conditions, and wet then dry weather patterns are some of the most common triggers for hoof issues in horses and the lower limb can take a real beating during the seasonal change.

Our ETP Pastern/Hoof Wrap comes in superr handy ⤵

Designed to deliver targeted light therapy directly to the hoof, pastern, fetlock and coronary band. This wrap combines three wavelengths to support the lower limb from the surface all the way to the deeper structures:

🔵 Blue (440nm) — antibacterial and antimicrobial, working at the surface to support skin conditions, wounds and inflammation. Especially valuable for laminitis, greasy heel and abscess.

🔴 Red (660nm) — penetrating into the soft tissue layer to support circulation, tissue repair and recovery in the lower limb.

⚫ Near infrared (850nm) — reaching the deeper structures including tendons, ligaments and the tissues around the hoof where some of the most common lower limb issues occur.

With spring grass on the way, adding the Hoof Wrap into your horse’s regular care routine is one of the most proactive things you can do to support their hoof health through the season ahead. ✨

Use it as part of your daily management routine, post work, or alongside your vet and farrier’s guidance for horses already dealing with hoof concerns.🐎

Let’s talk about your horse’s joints. 🐴

We ask so much of them.

Every stride, every jump, every transition, every competition day, the joints are absorbing impact, generating power, and working incredibly hard to keep your horse moving freely and comfortably.

And yet the joints are often the last thing we think about until something goes wrong.

We believe that joint health is something that needs to be maintained proactively, not just addressed reactively. Because by the time a horse is showing obvious signs of discomfort, those joints have often been under stress for quite some time.

That’s exactly why we love our Hock Boots and Knee Boots ✨

Designed for a secure, comfortable fit with no bulky batteries, cords, or pads that slip. These boots deliver targeted light therapy directly to the hock joint or knee and surrounding tissue using a combination of three wavelengths:

🔴 Red (660nm) — supporting circulation, tissue repair and muscle recovery
🔵 Blue (440nm) — antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, brilliant for surface issues and heat
⚫ Infrared (850nm) — penetrating to a depth of 50mm to reach the deeper structures including tendons, ligaments and joints

With three setting options you can tailor each session to exactly what your horse needs that day.

Each session runs for 10 minutes for tendon and ligament recovery, or 5 minutes for pre and post training rehabilitation. The battery lasts for 4 sessions before recharging.

Simple, effective, and your horse will love you for it!

We often think of light therapy as something we reach for after a ride, but it can be a really useful part of your horse's pre-work routine too. 🐴

Using light therapy before exercise can help support circulation and muscle comfort, helping your horse feel more prepared and supple as you begin your warm-up.

We love using light therapy before work to support:
✔️ muscle comfort and relaxation
✔️ circulation through the working tissues
✔️ areas that feel tight or braced
✔️ a more comfortable start to the warm-up

Your horse still needs an appropriate warm up to gradually prepare the muscles, tendons and ligaments for exercise. Light therapy is used as a tool to help, like a piece of the puzzle.

A few minutes of targeted support, followed by a proper warm-up, can be a great way to prepare your horse for the work session ahead.

Do you use light therapy before riding, or is it something you usually reach for afterwards? Let us know below! ⤵

Did you compete this weekend? First of all, well done to you and your horse (or horses) for getting out there and giving it your all!
Let us know what you got up to below.

Secondly, have you thought about recovery?

After a big competition day, your horse has worked hard. Their back has carried you through every movement, their legs have absorbed the impact, and their whole body has been asked to perform at its best.

So what are you using to help them recover?

Our go-to combination after a competition day is the Super Multi Radiance Pad paired with our Tendon Boots. ✨

The Multi Radiance Pad sits beautifully over the back and delivers targeted light therapy to support the muscles, reduce tension, and help your horse recover more comfortably after a big day.

Paired with the Tendon Boots on the legs, you’re covering two of the most important areas of post-competition recovery from top to bottom! 🐴

Super simple and super effective.

What does your post-competition recovery routine look like? Drop it in the comments! 👇

We get asked this one a lot, so let’s talk about it.

Can you use light therapy too often?

The short answer is no, more is not necessarily better.

Light therapy works by stimulating the body’s own natural healing response. The cells absorb the light energy they need, and once they’ve had enough, additional treatment in the same session simply won’t add more benefit.

Your horse’s body is incredibly intelligent about this.

Here’s a general guide to frequency:

🔴 For general maintenance 🔴
Two sessions per week is a great starting point for horses in regular work. Consistent, regular sessions will always give you better results than occasional ones.

🔴 For injury or specific conditions 🔴
Three to four sessions per week can be really beneficial when your horse is dealing with something specific, like muscle soreness, a soft tissue injury, or a skin condition. For longer term issues like tendon injuries or arthritis, consistent treatment over a number of weeks will give the best results along with what your vet has recommended.

🔴 For wounds and trauma 🔴
This is one area where more frequent treatment can be helpful — as the tissue is actively repairing and can benefit from more regular support during the healing process.

The beauty of light therapy is that it’s gentle, non-invasive, and works with your horse’s body rather than against it. Used consistently and correctly, it’s one of the most effective tools you can have in your kit. ✨

Have a question about how to use your ETP products? Send us a message, we’re always happy to help! 🤗

If your horse is in regular work, their tendons are under constant load.

Every stride, every transition and every jump asks a lot from their deeper structures, which is why we believe consistent support is just as important as recovery after a big event.

The Multi-Radiance Tendon Boots combine 440nm blue, 660nm red and 850nm infrared light, with three treatment modes to suit different situations:

🔵 Blue & Infrared for surface support, cooling and skin-related concerns.

🔴 Red & Infrared for deeper tendon and ligament support.

Plus all three wavelengths together for layered support from the surface through to deeper tissues. ✨

Designed to fit securely around the tendons and pastern, the lightweight boots offer up to 60 minutes of battery life, giving you four 15-minute sessions before needing a recharge.

When it comes to supporting hardworking horses, it's often the small, consistent routines that make the biggest difference. Especially when we support them before they need it.

If you've got any questions about the Multi-Radiance Tendon Boots or you're not sure what product is the right fit for your horse, reach out to us anytime. We'd love to help you choose the best option for your horse. 🐎
