Super start to WA Agility states for the Norsonix team!

Yesterday, Rune got herself a pass and
🥇1st place in Novice Agility
Rune's daughters, Amren & Posh had special wins, with their very first novice jumping passes in the same course!
🥇Amren with 1st place 400 height
🥈Posh with 2nd place 500 height

All 3 have qualified for finals 🤩

Congratulations to Leanne who owns Posh, on her super run! Exciting times ahead for the team! 🥰🥰

With our wild weather today, our 3rd qualifying trial and Finals will be held next Saturday.

Another update from the last few weeks of fun!

Amren and Sorin were entered in the WDC Group 5 Show with some awesome results!!
🌟Amren - Intermediate in Show
🌟Sorin - Runner up Neuter in Show

Ryze came to stay for a week, then we all went camping for the weekend and his favourite mum came along, all the dogs got some sledding runs in and everyone had an awesome time!

Amren competed in the DWD Club of WA double header and came away with amazing results!

A quick update on our last two weekends of Agility trials.
The youngest litter are now old enough to participate in agility trials, so Amren has had a few runs and is gaining confidence and speed rapidly.
She had a cracker of a Novice Snooker run, and got her first pass towards her title, her Novice Jumping and Open Jumping Runs have been fantastic, with a few baby-dog mistakes or handler errors keeping those passes at bay. We are loving finding our groove and I'm super excited to see how she goes as she gains more experience and we learn to work together as a team.

Rune has had a good couple of weeks, gaining a Masters Jumping pass, an Open Jumping pass and a Novice Agility pass. She also got another clear run in Masters Jumping but unfortunately ran slightly over time.

Our next Agility trials will be at the WA State competition in a few weeks time.

The last week or so in summary

We caught up with Posh and Teddy from Rune & Specter's ACOTAR litter.
This was the first time I've seen Teddy since he left home at 8 weeks old 🥹
He's maturing beautifully and I'm definitely looking forward to catching up with him more regularly.
Miss Posh is also growing up, though she has dropped her coat like Amren, it's so nice to see these kids as they grow up. Its crazy to think they are days away from 18months old already 😵‍💫

Maddy, from Rune & Noodle's litter cracked a PB at sprintdog, blitzing down the chute with an average speed of 40km/h!!
Extra special because not only was it her best run yet, but also her Novice Sprintdog

Sorin and Amren also had another run each, both adding more points towards their Advanced Sprintdog titles!
Amren also achieved a Heelwork to Music Pass at the recent Midland trial.

That's the end of the season for Sprintdog in WA, we now move into more Agility, Lure coursing, Herding, Sledding & more!

Three days of Sprint Dog entered
Two PB times
One Title!

What an epic Easter long weekend!

🔮 Ryze is maintaining his super 42 point average, ticking off some more points towards his Excellent title.

🪽 Amren is speeding up, hitting her best score of 40 points. Amren has now gained enough points for her second Sprint Dog Title.

☄️ Sorin didn't want to be left out, getting himself a personal best of 39 points! Sorin is now only 51 points away from his Advanced Sprint dog Title!

🏅Rally Masters - Cloverdale Rally Trial, 8th place on 96 points

💣 Bombed out in Masters at Cloverdale, too hot for him, and since he has been so happy to be back in the ring lately, we withdraw rather than dragging on.
🌊 Had a great time at the dock hire, showing Solace how he jumps a few times, and yelling to his heart's content.

Western Classic Performance Weekend

Rune, Amren and Sorin had a super weekend with lots of wonderful work across two nights!

🏅Rally Masters - 17th Place on 87 because I messed up a station (would have been 97 if he had a better handler 🙈)

🏅Rally Masters - 15th Place on 88. Her first time back in the ring for 3 years. Lots to love!
🏅Trick Novice - qualifying (I think 4th?) On 71.5 points and

🏅Masters Jumping - 6th place 400
🏅Open Jumping - 7th place overall

Performance trials have made their return in WA for 2026, and the girls have hit the ground running!

On the 24th of Jan, Rune ran her little heart out, beating last years score by 3 points to gain her

On the 30th of Jan, Amren and I jumped back into the Rally Ring, she gave me some gorgeous focus and achieved a score of 96/100. Her last pass required for her

Sprint Dog Trials have finally kicked off again in WA and this year the girls are having a go first!
Last Friday was Amren's first official baggy chase trial. Just squeezing into the over 45cm category, she came away with 35 points on night one, with plenty of speed still in the tank! As she understands the game, I think her speed will increase.

This was also Rune's first Sprint. Rune has done lure coursing before, but doesn't like to run away from me. With Sprint she can run towards me, and I'm hopeful that with some time and confidence, she will eventually decide that she is happy to do lure coursing again. Rune also just squeezed into the over 45cm category, and earned 34 points on her first Sprint night.

We are back again this Friday for more sprinting fun! 🤩
