Horses have a remarkable ability to create a sense of calm, connection & safety within a persons body & mind. Gentle activities can provide comfort, reduce stress & provide a powerful feeling of honest connection without judgement. Some horses share energy through their electromagnetic field that then supports cardiac coherence. Gentle breathing exercises beside a horse also changes a persons nervous system and brings through a greater awareness of self. For many people, horses offer a unique pathway to healing, confidence, self-awareness, calm and a renewed sense of connection with themselves and the world around them.

Our equine wellness sessions recently. A mixture of activities, people, horses & outcomes. 🦄😁
Socialising and participating in recreational activities within the community is incredibly important. It provides opportunities to build friendships, confidence, communication skills, independence and a genuine sense of belonging and inclusion.
For our members, activities such as interacting with horses and ponies are not simply “recreation” — they provide meaningful opportunities to connect with others, develop skills and be an active part of their community.
It is important that the focus remains on the real-life outcomes these activities create for people living with daily challenges, rather than viewing them simply as an optional leisure activity.
