We are dedicated to providing individual and comprehensive care for your pet, in a caring compassionate environment

The Cottage Animal Hospital is a collaborative venture between Doggie Rescue and Veterinarian Dr Deirdre (Dee) Clack. Dee has been a full time veterinarian for 26 years, including doing much of the veterinary work for rescue animals from for Doggie Rescue animals for over 15 years. Our caring and knowledgeable staff will work hard to ensure your pet receives loving, gentle health care, in a calm environment - and we commit to provide you with all the information you need to consider treatment options which are tailored to the specific needs of you and your pet. We are very proud of our animal hospital and strive to make it welcoming, inclusive and a place where you feel you belong and can drop in for a social visit or any time you have concerns about your pet.

🤍 Happy World Vet Nurse Day 🤍

We might be a little biased, but we really do think we have the best vet nurses ever! ❤️

This Vet Nurse Day, we want to give a huge shout-out to our amazing nursing team — Anneli, Courtney, Mary and Bailey!

These four work incredibly hard looking after our patients and their families, always going that extra mile to make sure everyone gets the care and attention they deserve.

And then there's all the extra work that goes into our rescue work. Many of these dogs and cats come to us needing a lot of extra time, patience, nursing care and TLC. It's not always easy, and it certainly makes for some very busy days, but our nurses give them just as much love and attention as they do our much-loved family pets.

They juggle so much, keep us vets organised (no small task!), look after each other and somehow still find time for a cuddle with a nervous patient.

We're incredibly proud of out team of nurses, and so grateful for all the hard work, kindness and care they bring to The Cottage every day.

Happy Vet Nurse Day, girls! We really couldn't do what we do without you.
We are truly very lucky to have such a talented, compassionate and fun team! Thank you! ❤️

When two HUGE 12 week old puppies landed with us last week direct from difficult circumstances in a rural area ( another save by Doggierescue ) - all chaos broke loose! Full of energy after their long trip they did so well for their health assessment and will soon be available for adoption through Doggierescue ….after they have decompressed, had some time in puppy school & we know more about them.
Enjoy the photo bloopers 😂😂- not sure who was more tried at the end of the day - the puppies or the nurses!

Meet Ollie! He’s possibly the cutest bestest boi ever. He’s looking for a family to love him forever! He needs an indoor only family where he can purr all day and head boop everyone. He can be a little shy with new people but when he warms up he’s Mr smooch. 🗞️ NEWSPAPERS URGENTLY NEEDED! 🗞️

‼️We’re running very low on newspapers‼️

We would be incredibly grateful for any donations!
Old newspapers are put to very good use here!

If you have a pile at home waiting to be recycled, we’d love to take them off your hands! They can be dropped into the clinic during our opening hours.( 8am-6pm )
