The Cottage Animal Hospital is a collaborative venture between Doggie Rescue and Veterinarian Dr Deirdre (Dee) Clack. Dee has been a full time veterinarian for 26 years, including doing much of the veterinary work for re

scue animals from for Doggie Rescue animals for over 15 years. Our caring and knowledgeable staff will work hard to ensure your pet receives loving, gentle health care, in a calm environment - and we commit to provide you with all the information you need to consider treatment options which are tailored to the specific needs of you and your pet. We are very proud of our animal hospital and strive to make it welcoming, inclusive and a place where you feel you belong and can drop in for a social visit or any time you have concerns about your pet.

‼️We’re running very low on newspapers‼️

We would be incredibly grateful for any donations!
Old newspapers are put to very good use here!

If you have a pile at home waiting to be recycled, we’d love to take them off your hands! They can be dropped into the clinic during our opening hours.( 8am-6pm )

Here is Dr Dee’s dog Sonny on the day he was collected collected him from his rescue 5 years ago and then today 🧡🧡- his DNA eventually revealed he is Cocker ( 50%) X Cavalier X Poodle

…… not that they’ll admit it out loud… but apart from helping pets and their people, we’re pretty sure high on the list ...

Ollie can be a little shy ,so he'll need a patient family who will let him settle in at his own pace.
But don't let that fool you—behind that timid exterior is one of the sweetest kittens you'll ever meet.

Once Ollie knows hes safe, he completely transforms - greeting you with adorable little trills, lean in for cuddles, and purr his heart out

Three of our recent orphans with their smitten new families - Mopple ( now Ember ) on the right and Reggie and Ronnie ( now Chilli & Tabasco) on the left. How lucky are these little guys!! They were all in for their post op check ups and had a lovely catch up with their families who adore them

🐾 Just a heads up for pet owners!🐾

At 2:00 pm AEST today (Monday 27 July), a nationwide Emergency Alert test will be sent to compatible mobile phones, smartwatches and some tablets across Australia.

The alert may sound loudly, even if your device is on silent or Do Not Disturb.
While it's completely routine, the unexpected noise can catch some pets off guard.

If you can:
🐶 Keep your pet nearby.
📱 Move phones and tablets away from where they're resting.
🏡 If possible, leave devices in another room until the test has finished.

It only lasts a few seconds, but a little planning can help keep our furry friends calm. 💙🐾

Big big BIG thank you to them and also to our incredible family of pet parents who are always supportive and understanding when we are riding through some tough days. 🐾❤️🐾
