Very sad that this is becoming a yearly post, but we need to be clear:
Verbal abuse, harassment, and bullying toward our staff is not okay under any circumstances.
Over the past few months, we’ve been yelled at for no-shows to appointments, dogs being matted, and a handful of other issues. Including someone stealing harnesses! This behavior is unacceptable. No person should feel unsafe going to work.
We work tirelessly to provide a service to all our beloved pets. Unfortunately, a large number of people aren’t respecting our time, our service, or, frankly, their own dogs.
We run a “humanity over vanity” salon. What does that mean? Simple: we will not harm your dog by tugging at mats so severely that it causes bruising or distress. We demat dogs with minimal mats that are safe to remove without causing pain. This is reflected in how regularly scheduled clients’ dogs come in, are brushed, combed, and leave our salon with fluffy, well-maintained haircuts. We will not cause pain to any dog for the sake of a vanity haircut.
I apologize for my strong wording, but the behavior of some clients is becoming disgraceful toward us and their pets.
As always, thank you to our beautiful regular clients who treat us with respect and kindness. You’re the reason we keep doing this ❤️
(ps. Thankyou to our beautiful models Baxter, Maggie and Lottie and their gorgeous mum for all the support over the years ❤️)
