RIP Yoda (2014-2026).
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we write this. Today, at 1205pm, we farewelled our best friend. To say we are devastated is an understatement. 2 weeks ago he had a limp which we put down to getting older. He was still jumping around, greeting us whenever we came home from leaving the house. 1 week ago we left for a caravan trip, something he truly loved. He has travelled much of Australia with us, making people smile everywhere. He was never happier then when he was in the car/ caravan on holiday with us. It became apparent that his limp was getting worse and progressed to an ataxic gait. We made the decision to cut the holiday short and drive home to get him to an emergency vet, not a decision we made lightly because he requires sedation for a vet visit. On Friday morning we went to the ARH in homebush. During a CT scan the vets found a number of agressive tumours. We made the decision to bring him home on pain medication and spend some time with him. We got just 36 hours more. The toughest decisions are the right ones. We were there with him in the end. We will forever miss him. He was our best friend, confidante, providing unconditional love at all times. Miss you buddy.
