Expressions of Interest

Friesian Wamblood Mare
(Friesian x Welsh D)
12 years old, 15.1hh
Exceptional type. Lovely basic education under saddle. Responsive to leg aids, and good brakes.
Shadow would excell with a confident rider (teen or adult). She shows no dirt or nasties under saddle, but mirrors her riders confidence.

She is expected to come to me for a few weeks to be brought back into full work in September. Owner is wanting the best match for this gorgeous mare, so home is of most importance.
In recent years her riding has been sporadic due to other priorities, but the riding she has had has been high exposure scenarios ; solo and group trail riding, along roads with traffic and dogs, livestock and machinery, all of which cause no worry to this mare.

Has had 1 foal previously, would make exceptional broodmare in the future.
No injuries or health concerns. Vet checks welcome.
Up to date with dentistry, worming, and hoof care (barefoot).
Southern Cross Competition Fender (which has been custom made to fit this big girl) is also available to purchase as a discounted price with Shadow.

A little update regarding travel charges 🚗

I’ve made the decision to increase my fuel/travel charge slightly moving forward.
This is something I’ve really tried to avoid, especially knowing that times are tough for a lot of people at the moment. I understand that any increase in costs can make things harder, and I genuinely appreciate everyone’s support and understanding.

Unfortunately, with the rising cost of fuel, vehicle running costs and the time involved in travelling to clients, my current travel charge is no longer covering the actual cost of getting to and from appointments.

I will try to encourage people to travel to me (Paloona) if possible, or line up multiple people in the one area to reasonably split the cost of travel between those clients. It's no longer viable for me to travel for just 1 or 2 horses, nor do I expect just one person to pay to cover my fuel/time to get there.

As a small business, I need to make sure that the services I provide are viable and sustainable, while still keeping my prices as reasonable as possible.
I’m not making this change lightly, and I truly appreciate your understanding. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who continues to support me — every booking, recommendation, share and kind word means so much. 🐴
