COACHES WITH OTT EXPERIENCE

In the interest of creating a resource for owners, Off the Track WA are seeking submissions from coaches with experience retraining and coaching retired racehorses.

This information will be used by Off the Track WA to create a directory of coaches willing to support retired racehorse owners with lessons, clinics and other educational support.

HORSE WISDOM

Another OTTWA Community funded project is the Horse Wisdom program providing students with opportunities to engage in equine-learning experiences designed to support thier emotional regulation, communication skills, confidence building, boundary setting and resilience.

Students were able to connect with the retired racehorses within the program and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The horses provided a calm and responsive experience which allowed students to learn and develop a better understanding of themselves and peers around them.

With the next round of Community Fund applications coming up, we look forward to supporting more programs and projects such as Horse Wisdom.
