VIP Dog Training with Maree Field, offers serious fun with your dog, including group classes, private lessons, phone consultations and home visits.

▪︎ Group Classes at Ormeau Woods State High School, 148 Goldmine Road, Ormeau.
▪︎ Private Lessons at Ormeau or Windaroo Outlook

SATURDAY Group Class Dates.
▪︎ 4 July to 15 August
(no class 18/7/26)
▪︎ 22 August to 3 October
(no class 5/9/26)

▪︎ 7.00am Tricks
▪︎ 8.30am Obedience 1 (6 wks)
▪︎ 8.30am Loose Lead Walking (6 wks)
▪︎ 10am Preschool (6 wks)

NOTE - Puppies to 6 months can start anytime, once vaccination requirements are met. See below.

TUESDAY Group Class Dates.

(no class 18/8/26)
▪︎ 25 August to 6 October
(no class 15/9/26)

▪︎ 6pm Preschool
▪︎ 7.30pm Loose Lead Walking with Manners OR Obedience 1

Don’t rush it.
It looks like a simple moment.
It really isn’t.

If you have a really social dog, awesome. You’ll likely never have the dilemma or issues with these decisions.
But many more dogs need us to make careful decisions. We are the “gate keeper”.
What was their most recent experience?
Good, bad or you’re just uneasy because of a little niggling feeling.
That matters.

Perhaps you know that your dog’s energy changes after 5 minutes of playing and you’re very aware that energy can tip over into something else.
The fact you know that is brilliant!

We tend to focus on the obvious and what we see in that moment.
The eagerness.
The wagging tail.
The forward movement by one desperate to meet the other.
The “friendly” approach.
But that’s not all that we should notice and the more you look at the bigger picture, the easier it is to make decisions and those decisions matter.

Because once they’re in it, it’s much harder to change.

It’s ok to pause.
It’s ok to step away.
It’s ok to say no.

And yes
It’s absolutely ok to say yes too.
