The Happy Hounds team strive to care for people's pets as they would their own. We strive to provide owners with quality pet care that leaves them knowing their furry, scaly and spiky family members are in safe and very capable hands. We provide several services that are performed by our brilliant pet care team. Every team member is fully insured and has undergone police checks and pet first aid c

ertification. Services include dog walking, daily drop-in visits and overnight care in the owner's home.

This month’s shoutout had to be these two little legends! 🐾

Pumbaa and Lil Snoop never fail to make us laugh. Whether it’s Pumbaa stopping every few steps for another grass roll or Snoop pretending he doesn’t want to walk... unless he spies the park, then it is game on! 😂

They absolutely love their park adventures, sniffing absolutely everything and soaking up lots of cuddles afterwards. Of course, no walk is complete without Snoop deciding he’d much rather be pushed home in the pram! 🤭

These boys have the biggest personalities and are always so much fun to spend time with. We look forward to every walk with them, and they always brighten our day! 💚

We love a Bunnings Warehouse Australia trip here at Happy Hounds! 🐾🛒

While it might cop its fair share of hate sometimes, we actually think it can be such a great little outing for young pups (when done safely).

Puppy socialisation definitely isn’t just about meeting every person and dog they come across—it’s about exposing them to the world around them in a positive way. The noises, the smells, the different people, the trolleys, the forklifts, the other dogs walking past… all these little things help puppies learn that the world is a pretty exciting place.

And for pups who aren’t fully vaccinated yet, places like Bunnings can be a great option to introduce them to new experiences while keeping them at a safe distance.

As you can tell, Sammy is pretty stoked about it !

Facts…. 😂

One of the best things about overnight stays is that your pet gets to stay right where they’re happiest… at home. 🏡💛

They still have their own bed, their favourite food bowl, their backyard, and their normal routine. Everything feels familiar, which can make such a big difference, especially for pets who get a little anxious or just love the comforts of home.

So good that they won’t even notice you’re gone ! 🥰

Being a dog wedding attendant is honestly one of our favourite parts of what we do! 🤍🐾

Yes, we get to spend the day hanging out with dogs (which is pretty hard to beat), but it's also very special to be trusted with such an important role on one of the biggest days of our clients' lives.

One of our favourite moments is when the celebrant or the couple gives their dog a little mention during the ceremony or speeches. It gets us and the guests every time. 🥹

And really... how could they not be there?

For so many of our couples, their dog was around long before their partner came along. They've been there through first homes, moves, engagements, the everyday moments in between, and now they get to be part of the wedding too.

We absolutely love helping make that happen and making sure everyone gets to enjoy the day.
