You may noticeโ€ฆ she looks a little different from our usual Border Collies! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Mila is a ๐’๐š๐ซ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ข๐ง๐š๐œ, also known as the ๐˜๐ฎ๐ ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฅ๐š๐ฏ๐ข๐š๐ง ๐’๐ก๐ž๐ฉ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ ๐ƒ๐จ๐ ..

The ล arplaninac is still a very new breed here in Australia, so we feel very fortunate and excited to have the opportunity to welcome this beautiful girl into our lives.

For those who haven't heard of the breed before, the ล arplaninac is an ancient livestock guardian breed originating from the mountainous regions of the Balkans.

They are known for being incredibly loyal, intelligent, courageous and devoted guardians, with a naturally calm and independent nature.

I first became interested in the ล arplaninac a few years ago.
Loyal, calm, devoted and sweet-natureโ€ฆ everything I read and learnt about them made me want to know more.

And ๐“๐‡๐„๐ there are those incredibly beautiful faces! ๐Ÿ˜

I knew a small number had been imported into Australia, but with no puppies available here, I eventually put the idea aside and thought perhaps one day the opportunity would come along.

๐–๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅโ€ฆ apparently that day was sooner than I expected! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I received a message offering me the opportunity to welcome this beautiful little girl into our family and to be part of helping establish and share this wonderful breed here in Australia.

Only 3 weeks later, we were on our way to meet her and bring our ๐Œ๐ข๐ฅ๐š ๐ก๐จ๐ฆ๐ž โค๏ธ

Sometimes things really do happen when they're meant to.

This ๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐ฅ๐ž, ๐๐ˆ๐† girl is currently 10 weeks , and we are already completely smitten with her. ๐Ÿฅฐ

She is incredibly sweet and affectionate, absolutely LOVES attention, happily plays with all of our Amaroo-Amalee pack and has settled into our rather crazy household beautifully.

We're already seeing glimpses of the guardian she is going to become.
Even at this young age, she is remarkably aware of her surroundings and has already shown her natural protective side!

There is so much for us still to learn about Mila as she grows, and we are incredibly excited to begin this journey with her and this remarkable breed.

For now, she's simply our beautiful new baby girl, finding her place amongst the Amaroo-Amalee Park pack. โค๏ธ
