Why does my dog constantly lick their paws? 🐾
It’s one of the most common questions we get asked at the front desk! While occasional grooming is normal, obsessive licking and chewing usually means something is bothering them.
During the Barossa spring, the top culprits are environmental allergies (like pollens and grasses) or a pesky grass seed wedged between their toes. It can also be a sign of sore joints or anxiety.
⚠️ What to look out for: Redness, swelling, a funky smell, or fur that has turned a reddish-brown color from their saliva.
If your dog is driving themselves (and you!) crazy with constant paw-licking, it’s time to come see us so we can give them some relief. Book online via the link in our bio, or call us on (08) 8562 1162.
