At Elmore today for Goulburn Valley EC dressage day. Competing in Level 4 we were 2nd in our 1st test with 72.6%, and 3rd in our 2nd test with70.8%. Reserve Champion in the Jackpot.

A bit of a belated post- it's been a hectic few weeks but we once any made the annual pilgrimage up to Wagga Wagga for Aonach on the St Patrick Day weekend. We took Lili (Baala Lili Marlene) and Jazz (Baala All That Jazz).
Always a fun weekend and great catching up with old friends.

Results for the weekend:
Lili was
4th in Prep dressage
1st in Led Pure-bred Connemara Mare
1st in 2 of a Kind (with her brother Bill (Baala Beersheba))
1st in Exhibitors Group (with Jazz)

Jazz was
3rd in 60cm Working Hunter
1st Prelim Dressage
3rd Novice Dressage
1st in Exhibitors Group (with Lili)

Jazz was then commandeered for the Junior ring where she was able to indulge in her preferred career as a kids pony.

Jazz was also Runner-up Best Performed Part-bred for the second year in a row.

Big thanks to the committee for putting on yet another great weekend- see you all next year 😀

A successful day at Werribee on Sunday. We took two of the girls- Lili (Baala Lili Marlene- Sternbergs Lenaro IMP x Monahan Viola) and her sister Rain (Baala Drops of Jupiter- Exmoor Orion x Monahan Viola).

Lili was
Runner Up Led Senior Mountain and Moorland in the APSB Pony of the Year.

And in the Rare Breed Ring
1st Connemara Mare 4 and over
Reserve Champion Connemara Mare
1st Ridden Connemara Mare

Rain had her first outing and was
1st Connemara Filly 3 and under
Champion Connemara Mare

No photos of them in the ring unfortunately. But was very happy with how Rain went with her first show- she will be heading off to the breaker later this year and then be offered for sale.

Little bit of foal spam to start the day! We've made a temporary stall in the not-quite-finished stables. Both coping ok with the heat, but looking forward to the cool change.
Haven't picked a name yet, so if anyone has any suggestions feel free. (Sire is Conquistador, Dam is Octavia).
For anyone looking at building stables, we put insulation in the roof and it has made a noticeable difference in temperature. Well worth the investment.
Im also seriously considering getting a couple of misting fans if anyone knows of a reliable brand.
