Introducing our newest nurse to the NVC team, Belana! 🩵 Belana has fitted seamlessly into our clinic, and her bright, bubbly personality has already made her such a wonderful addition to our nursing team.
“I’ve always had a huge love for animals, so becoming a Veterinary Nurse felt like a natural fit for me. I completed my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at the Australian College of Applied Animal Studies in 2024, with a special interest in Equine Nursing and Emergency and Critical Care Veterinary Nursing. I have gained five years of clinical experience across general practice, emergency and critical care, and specialist hospitals, where I discovered a strong passion for working in small animal Emergency and Critical Care. I love the fast-paced environment that ECC brings, as well as being able to provide my patients with the highest quality of care when they need it most. I recently made the big move over from my hometown just outside of Gippsland, Victoria, bringing my two favourite companions along for the adventure — my cat, Hermione, and my horse, Albany. Back home, I have my retired horse, Storm, who was my 14th birthday present from my parents and my very first horse, as well as our family dogs, Marley, a Border Collie x Kelpie, and Penny, a West Highland White Terrier.
When I’m not at work (a rare occurrence, haha!), you’ll most likely find me riding or at a competition with Albany, baking my next sourdough creation, reading a new book, or testing out new cocktail recipes while singing along to Taylor Swift.
I’m so excited to have joined the Northfield Veterinary Clinic team and to be part of such a warm and supportive clinic. I’m looking forward to getting to know all of our wonderful clients and their furry family members, and helping make their visits to the clinic as comfortable and positive as possible!”
We’re so excited for our lovely clients to get to know Belana soon! Please help us in welcoming her in the comments below. 🥰
