My journey in the animal world… where it all began. ❤️

Back in 2016, I met Rosie.

She wasn’t a puppy. She was already 10 years old. Somehow, life brought us together exactly when we needed each other.

Rosie came into my life with several health problems, and at the time I was just a young girl without a clear direction or big goals. But there was one thing I knew with all my heart: I wanted to give her the happiest, healthiest final years possible.

She was the reason I fell in love with veterinary medicine.

Every appointment, every medication, every challenge, every little improvement… she taught me that caring for animals isn’t just about treating illness. It’s about giving them comfort, dignity, and love when they need it most.

Everything I do today started with her.

Rosie is no longer here. It’s been four years since I said goodbye, and I still miss her. But she left me with something far greater than memories, she left me with a purpose.

Because of Rosie, I get to care for so many other “Rosies.”

Every senior dog, every nervous dog, every dog with skin problems, arthritis, or health challenges reminds me why I chose this path. I know what it’s like to love an older dog with your whole heart, and I know how much it means to find people who genuinely care.

Gentle Paws exists because of one little dog who changed my life forever.

Hello everyone!

Gabby here, your Vet Nurse & Dog Groomer.

Just a little reminder… we’re getting really close to grass seed season, and every single year we see the same thing. Dogs come in carrying a thick winter coat, and once we start grooming them we find grass seeds hidden everywhere. They get trapped in the coat, sit against the skin, and before you know it they can work their way in. They are incredibly painful and can cause infections, abscesses and sometimes even need surgery. The best prevention is not waiting until spring. Keeping the coat in good condition now makes it much easier to spot grass seeds before they become a problem. Just thought I’d give everyone a heads up now, before the busy season starts!

Hi everyone 🤍 just a quick update
We’ve been receiving a lot of calls and messages from clients saying they can’t find appointments online. At the moment, this is simply because we are fully booked for full grooms, not a system issue.
Due to a couple of nearby grooming salons closing, we are experiencing a much higher demand than usual. We truly wish we could fit everyone in, but our schedule is currently at full capacity.
If you’re looking for a full groom, please make sure to add your dog to our waitlist online. This is the best way for us to contact you if a spot becomes available.
We may still have some limited availability for tidy ups and deshedding services, so feel free to check online for those.
We are doing our absolute best to manage grooming, calls, and messages at the same time, so we really appreciate your patience and understanding during this busy period 🤍
