🐾 Paralysis Tick Alert
We’ve seen multiple cases of paralysis tick in clinic this week — a timely reminder that tick prevention is an essential part of keeping our pets safe.
🕷️ Stay proactive with:
Regular, reliable tick prevention — and make sure it’s up to date.
Daily tick checks, even when your pet is using prevention
Knowing what tick species are found in your area and how to identify them.
Checking carefully around the head, neck, ears, between the toes and under the collar.
Paralysis ticks can cause serious illness and symptoms can progress quickly. If your pet develops weakness, wobbliness, changes in their bark or meow, difficulty breathing, vomiting, or seems unusually quiet, seek veterinary attention immediately.
If you’re unsure whether your pet’s tick prevention is current or which product is right for them, chat with our team — we’re happy to help. 💚
Don’t wait for a tick to become a problem. Prevention + daily checks = the best protection.
