A huge and sincere thank you to Dr Dan and the team at Cooks Hill Veterinary Clinic for the emergency care they provided to my cat today, Miss Kitty, and their help with stabilising her.
She was rushed in to the emergency Vet this morning after I found her struggling to walk and breathe, and was diagnosed with paralysis tick poisoning after the vets found and removed over 12 ticks. From the moment we arrived at Cooks Hill Vet who then took over care, she was treated with calm, compassionate, and highly professional care. Dr Dan spent the time to explain a very distressed owner (me) and leave me feeling that I could leave her in capable hands, knowing they’d do everything they could to support her.
Their team acted quickly, explained everything clearly, and made a very overwhelming situation much easier to navigate. Their treatment and support made a huge difference in getting her stabilised. She is at home now and I am hoping that she makes a full recovery.
I’m very grateful for the kindness and expertise they showed during such a frightening time, and would recommend them to anyone in the Newcastle region. 🤍🐾
