💜 A Little Update from Go-To Pet Minding 🐾

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a little update and ask for your patience and understanding during this time.

Over the past few weeks, I've been navigating a personal loss alongside some ongoing personal matters, all while managing a very busy booking schedule. With back-to-back bookings over the past three weeks and another two busy weeks ahead, I've unfortunately fallen behind on some of the administrative side of the business.

To add to everything, our website's booking server is currently down, and I haven't yet had the opportunity to get on top of fixing it.

What does this mean for clients?

🐾 Existing bookings are still going ahead as planned, and the care of your pets remains my priority.

🐾 Responses to new enquiries, booking requests and general messages may take a little longer than usual.

🐾 The online booking system is temporarily unavailable while I work towards getting it back up and running.

As a one-person business, juggling personal circumstances and a busy schedule can sometimes be challenging. I'm doing my best to keep everything running smoothly while also allowing myself the time I need to navigate what's happening in my personal life.

I sincerely appreciate everyone's patience, kindness and continued support. I'm incredibly grateful to have such wonderful clients who trust me with their beloved pets.

Thank you for bearing with me while I work through everything. I'll provide another update once the booking system is back online.

Siblings, am I right?!

🐾 A little different from our usual posts, but we couldn't scroll past this one without trying to help.

A close friend of ours is facing one of the hardest decisions a pet owner can make. In just one month's time she'll be relocating overseas for an incredible opportunity, and despite exhausting every avenue—including rescue groups, the RSPCA and countless rehoming enquiries—she still hasn't found homes for her two beautiful rescue cats, Tiggy and Alby.

While they'd originally hoped to stay together, the priority now is simply finding them safe, loving homes. They can be rehomed together or separately if that's what gives them the best chance.

Both cats are around 9 years old, desexed, microchipped, up to date with their veterinary care, and all health records are available. They each have their own unique personalities and so much love to give.
If you, or someone you know, may be able to offer Tiggy or Alby a forever home, please get in touch with us and we'll put you directly in contact with their owner.

Even if you can't adopt, sharing this post could make all the difference. Let's see if we can use the amazing pet-loving community we've built to help these two find the homes they deserve. ❤️🐱

Please be advised that Go-To Pet Minding will be operating with limited availability from 8 June to 14 June 2026.

During this period, response times for enquiries, booking requests, and general correspondence may be longer than usual.

Existing bookings and confirmed pet care services will continue as arranged.

If you require pet care services for upcoming dates, please submit your enquiry as early as possible. All messages will be responded to as soon as practicable upon my return to normal operations.

Why do cats love bum taps? Turns out there’s actual reasons behind the weird little elevator-butt reaction:

1. Sensitive nerve endings
The base of a cat’s tail is packed with nerve endings, so gentle pats or scratches there can feel really pleasurable and stimulating.

2. It’s a hard spot to reach
Cats can’t groom that area easily themselves, so when you scratch or tap there, it’s like you helping with an impossible itch.

3. It’s social bonding behaviour
Cats use scent glands around their rear and tail area to communicate. Touching there can feel comforting and social — basically the cat version of “you’re part of the group now.”
