Why do cats love bum taps? Turns out there’s actual reasons behind the weird little elevator-butt reaction:

1. Sensitive nerve endings
The base of a cat’s tail is packed with nerve endings, so gentle pats or scratches there can feel really pleasurable and stimulating.

2. It’s a hard spot to reach
Cats can’t groom that area easily themselves, so when you scratch or tap there, it’s like you helping with an impossible itch.

3. It’s social bonding behaviour
Cats use scent glands around their rear and tail area to communicate. Touching there can feel comforting and social — basically the cat version of “you’re part of the group now.”

Free Microchipping this Sunday!

Give your dog or cat the best chance of coming home if they're ever lost. Our Rangers will be microchipping for free at Glendale Bunnings this Sunday, 19 April from 9am-1pm.

Important conditions that apply include:
✅Must be a Lake Mac resident, ID is required
✅Owner of the pet must be 18 years or older
✅Dogs and cats must be 12 weeks+
❌No litters of puppies or kittens accepted

No bookings are required for this pop-up - first come, first served. See you there🐾

🐾 Response Time and Recovery 🐾

Thank you so much to everyone again for your patience and understanding over the past few weeks and ongoing.

Whilst I am back to securing bookings and try to 'get back on the bike' in terms of routine, I still have some recovering to do and as a result, sometimes I am not able to respond to phone calls/messages as fast as I used to. I want to assure everyone that I am doing my best and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

I also am trying to be mindful of how many bookings I can take on at once to avoid exhausting myself further than necessary and delaying a full recovery.

Therefore, I ask if everyone could allow me some extra time to respond to your request/messages, that would be greatly appreciated :)

The proposed changes to how bookings are secured and the way they are structured is still a working progress but for now, bookings will proceed as normal.
