🐾 A little different from our usual posts, but we couldn't scroll past this one without trying to help.

A close friend of ours is facing one of the hardest decisions a pet owner can make. In just one month's time she'll be relocating overseas for an incredible opportunity, and despite exhausting every avenue—including rescue groups, the RSPCA and countless rehoming enquiries—she still hasn't found homes for her two beautiful rescue cats, Tiggy and Alby.

While they'd originally hoped to stay together, the priority now is simply finding them safe, loving homes. They can be rehomed together or separately if that's what gives them the best chance.

Both cats are around 9 years old, desexed, microchipped, up to date with their veterinary care, and all health records are available. They each have their own unique personalities and so much love to give.
If you, or someone you know, may be able to offer Tiggy or Alby a forever home, please get in touch with us and we'll put you directly in contact with their owner.

Even if you can't adopt, sharing this post could make all the difference. Let's see if we can use the amazing pet-loving community we've built to help these two find the homes they deserve. ❤️🐱

Why do cats love bum taps? Turns out there’s actual reasons behind the weird little elevator-butt reaction:

1. Sensitive nerve endings
The base of a cat’s tail is packed with nerve endings, so gentle pats or scratches there can feel really pleasurable and stimulating.

2. It’s a hard spot to reach
Cats can’t groom that area easily themselves, so when you scratch or tap there, it’s like you helping with an impossible itch.

3. It’s social bonding behaviour
Cats use scent glands around their rear and tail area to communicate. Touching there can feel comforting and social — basically the cat version of “you’re part of the group now.”
