π± Cat owners: keep your cats safely contained.
H5 bird flu has been detected in Tasmania. Everyone can help protect wildlife, pets and their community by knowing what to do. H5 bird flu can affect birds and other animals.
Keeping cats indoors or in a secure enclosure helps reduce their contact with wild birds and other wildlife. Cats that are kept at home are also less likely to roam and impact Tasmania's native
wildlife.
If you see sick or dead birds or wildlife:
β
Avoid contact
β
Record what you see
β
Report sightings to the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888
