🚗🐾 A quick parking update for our Narara clients! 🐾🚗

You may have noticed that Deane Street now has double yellow lines. This means U-turns are no longer permitted in this section of the street.

The good news is that you are welcome to use our driveway for parking when dropping off or collecting your dog. 🐶❤️

For a normal-sized car, there is also still plenty of street parking available — just remember to keep at least 3 metres clear of the double yellow lines.

⚠️ A quick safety note about our driveway:
We do not recommend turning into our driveway directly from Narara Valley Drive . From experience, this can be a tricky and unsafe manoeuvre when traffic is busy, so please take extra care and only enter when it is safe to do so.

🐾 Need a hand getting your dog in or out of the car? Please let us know! We’re very happy to assist.

🐶 Please always bring your dogs in on secure collars and leashes, or in a travel crate, for everyone’s safety & to abide by the Companion Animal Act.

Thanks for helping us keep drop-offs and pick-ups safe and easy for everyone. 😊

🐾✨ A little showcase of some of our recent grooms! ✨🐾

What a fantastic mix of breeds — Shiba Inu, Pomeranian, Shetland Sheepdog, Miniature Schnauzer, Cairn Terrier, Shih Tzu x and Cavoodle! 🐶❤️

Every breed brings its own unique coat type, styling techniques and, of course, personality! From double-coated breeds requiring specialist deshedding to hand-scissored styles and breed-specific trims, no two grooms are quite the same.

We love the variety that comes through our salon and the skill, knowledge and patience our groomers bring to every dog. ✂️🐾

🔨🐾 A Little Behind-the-Scenes Refresh! 🐾✨

Our Narara salon is taking a short break while we renovate our 23-year-old bathing area! 🛁

After more than two decades of washing thousands of wonderful dogs, it’s time to give this hardworking space the makeover it deserves.

Over the next few days we’ll be busy renovating, deep cleaning and reorganising the salon so we can continue providing a clean, safe and comfortable environment for every dog that visits us.

We are aiming to reopen on Thursday, ready to welcome your furry family members back into a refreshed salon. 💜

Meanwhile, our Erina salon is open and operating as usual, so you can still book in and keep your pups looking and feeling their best! 🐶✂️

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we make these improvements. We can’t wait to show you the finished result!

See you soon! 🐶✂️

🐾🇦🇺 Australian Shepherds – Beauty, Brains & Beautiful Coats! 🇦🇺🐾

Fun Fact: Despite their name, Australian Shepherds were actually developed in the United States, where they became famous as intelligent, energetic working dogs on ranches! 🤠🐶

Their stunning double coat deserves the very best care. At Gosford Grooming, we use Iv San Bernard specialty shampoos and conditioners because we’ve found they deliver outstanding results for this breed.

✨ Cruelty-free removal of loose, dead undercoat
✨ Nourishes the skin and coat
✨ Enhances natural coat colour and shine
✨ Leaves the coat feeling incredibly soft, fluffy and silky
✨ Helps maintain the coat’s natural insulating properties

Whether your Aussie Shepherd needs a luxurious bath and de-shed or add a tidy trim around the feet, pants and/or outline, we’ll tailor the groom to suit their coat and lifestyle.

Swipe through these gorgeous Aussies and admire their beautiful colours, markings and fabulous coats! ❤️🐾

🐾❄️ Tasmanian Smithfields & Winter Grooming ❄️🐾

With their shaggy coats, loyal nature and hardworking heritage, Tasmanian Smithfields are built for the outdoors.

Their double coat works like a fluffed-up doona—when it’s clean, brushed and free from matted or impacted undercoat, it traps air to help keep them warm in winter while protecting their skin.

A winter groom doesn’t have to mean a short haircut. Many Smithfield owners choose a thorough bath, blow-dry and de-shed to maintain the coat’s natural insulation. Others opt for a tidy trim around the feet, eyes, hygiene areas, furnishings or a light outline trim to keep their dog looking neat while preserving the coat’s natural function.

Every Tasmanian Smithfield has a unique coat, and we’ll tailor the groom to suit your dog’s lifestyle, comfort and coat condition—keeping them happy, healthy and looking their best all winter long. 🐶❤️
